Locals are the general population who make cultural decisions for everyone. Locals decide which generic movie to give $1 billion to in the box office, whichever braindead manufactured music “artist” to hype, to hype popular TV shows like The Office or Friends (not that they’re bad, they’re just overhyped by locals). Monthly, locals see new memes that stans started, thanks to locals it blows up to over 100k likes/RTs and gets repetitive/ unfunny.
Locals are less manic, less obsessed versions of fans/ stans because they’re a bandwagon—a mob. If a celebrity or social media influencer is problematic or toxic & gets called out locals will say “cancel culture is toxic”, “people are so sensitive nowadays”, “it was so many years ago”. Locals don’t have the range on any social issues. Locals are confused in knowing if Jeffree Star saying the n-word is that bad, if Ariana’s or Kim K’s fake tan is blackface, if Chris Brown & R.Kelly are abusers/predators, if Cardi B is transphobic, if Eminem is homophobic or if Drake/Post Malone/Miley aren’t culture vultures, etc. Locals keep superficial vanity alive as the standard then they complain about “making stupid people famous”, “I’m born in the wrong generation”, “music nowadays sucks”, “everyone is naked now & has plastic surgery”. I personally believe locals are mentally stuck being shallow vessels in life since their favorite catchphrase is “it’s not that deep”.
We’re not locals but hating on trendy, popular things is not a personality trait. You’re not that edgy! You’re fake woke, you’re a fake deep sjw.
What does "Locals" mean?
Type one: The most generic people you will ever meet on any social platform. They like very basic things and are unoriginal and think they quirky, but more tolerable than type 2.
Type 2:Toxic Anime fans who like hating on kpop/ kpop stans for no apparent reason. Likes to use racist and offensive videos and images about kpop, particularly to BTS bc they are very popular and the locals are bored asf. These people are the most toxic people on the platform cuz they just can’t focus on their naruto and go on about their day.
Type one: These locals is so basic. All they do is listen to Harry Styles.
Type 2: These locals are just an ass. They were hating on BTS cuz they bored.

A better way to say "normies". Locals are the type of people who don't have a unique personality. They aren't really unique but for some reason, they try to be which doesn't end well. A sure way to make a baby grow into a local is by raising them into a small town and making them part of many communities as they grow and grow older. They are like bandwagons, but they don't copy everyone else. Sometimes you'll wonder if they are actually siblings with other locals or in fact twins. Or hell even clones.
God, Lincoln has so many locals, I wish someone was different for once. Wait, did you see that girl? She doesn't look from around here........maybe she can get me away from these overdramatic locals!!!

A local is somebody who is just basic. They like all the generic mainstream artists and don't have their own sense of style or taste; they just like everything based on what is popular. They usually have crushes on generic hot boys/girls that everyone knows is conventionally attractive but not actually attractive. Some locals claim to be fans of different celebrities but only like the celebrity for their looks and haven't heard their sounds/ seen their movies.
They also think they're quirky for liking 'unique' things when really everyone else also likes those things.

A term coined by the alternative community to refer to posers or just basic people in general. Commonly used against preps, 'indie' kids, e-girls/e-boys, and other groups of people who claim to be alternative because they see it as a "trend" (aka everyone on alt tiktok).
Emily and Haileigh bullied me all throughout middle school because I was emo, and now they call themselves "alt". They're such locals.
