What is fonged?
1) To be struck with an obvious answer or response, when asking a question (usually with implied connotations).
2) To get an unintended answer.
Bob: Hey George, how do you make your long distance calls? (really asking if he used a calling card or etc.)

Fonged - what is it?
Fonging is when you take the rack out of your oven, tie two strings around the end, wrap the other end of the strings around your fingers, and then bend over slightly from the waist and put your fingers in your ears, at which point others gently tap on the rack with kitchen utensils such as wooden salad spoons, turkey basters, or screwdrivers and it makes an amazing sound in your head.
Fonging with your friends is a great way to have fun.

The usage of this word comes from the social media behavior of Gary Fong, a "rockstar" of the photography world and the creator of a line of photography products, such as the Gary Fong Puffer (a device to soften your on camera flash). He is known for weighing in on a variety of topics from the photography world to the economy. He frequently posts status updates on Facebook or posts comments on Twitter, which mysteriously disappear after a short period of time (from a few hours to a few days.)
Jody: "Did you see that status update Jane posted last night? She really slammed Dave's behavior."
Mary: "It seems to be gone now. She must have fonged it."
