What does "j-rock" mean?A Genre of Music originating in Japan. It is a mix of Rock and Hair Bands, and it is very pleasign to the ear. One of the most influental of J-Rock bands is X-Japan. See also J-Pop. (Dude who hates other cultures) Man, J-Rock blows... hardcore. J-rock - what does it mean?Japanese rock music that isn't that bad once you get used to it. Most of the lyrics in this genre is very poetic (sometimes doesn't make sense, but you'll get it if you read the lyrics with thought). Person who doesn't understand J-Rock: They suck because they sound awful and they steal stuff from American Rock. J-rock - definitionA man with unrivaled sexual prowess. he has huge yet defined muscles due to his copious sexual activity and is known to only copulate with the finest of females (models, actresses, singers etc). Some men are intimidated or feel nervous around women they find sexually attractive. not him. Hot Bitch 1: Woah look how sexy that guy is over there. J-rockTerm used to describe Japanese rock music. As far as I know, this term is actually rarely used in Japan; most use the term "J-POP" instead. Many groups that are referred to as "J-Rock" also fall into the category of Visual Kei (for example, Luna Sea, Malice Mizer, Gackt, Moi Dix Mois, Nightmare, and others). A major element in Visual Kei is flamboyant, eccentric, and feminine (less common nowadays) costumes. To be driven away by "freakiness" of many of these groups is very foolish, as one would miss out on a beautiful form of music "Got any J-Rock on your iPod?" J-rockAn excellent music genre that used to have a humane, mature fanbase only a couple years back. These fans still exist, but most of the fandom has been taken over by anime freaks which has ticked off most original J-rock fans. These anime fans only listen to Dir en grey (actually, some haven't even heard a Dir en grey song in their life) and claim to listen to Malice Mizer and Moi dix Mois, just so they can obsess over Mana who they clearly know nothing about (that sucks considerably, as Mana is a great, talented musician, not just a pretty face). They claim to be huge J-rock fans after only naming these three bands, yet have never heard of others like Amadeus, Boom Boom Satellites, Soft Ballet, or Blam Honey. Another mistake they make is confusing j-pop groups with j-rock.. |
