What does "ZOO" mean?
Short for zoophile, which means one who has a deep emotional attraction to animals and may prefer them to a human as a companion/sexual partner. Different from bestialists in that they have compassion for the animal.

The property was once a vacant lot known as Hahn Field where the circus used to set up each year hence "The Zoo" reference. The nickname lives on with the Zoo like behavior of the college kid tenants.
