What is pyro?
Abbreviation for "pyromaniacs". People who are fascinated and intrigued by fire and burning. A pyro may spend a great deal of time experimenting with and playing with fire.

Pyro - what is it?
Something that hundreds of kids call themselves. Thay are NOT pyros. Pyromania is a mental illness where the person sets things on fire or explodes things for satisfaction. Like all manias, it acts as an addiction and pyromaniacs will feel uncomfortable and uneasy. Thay won't be able to sleep or stay calm. Just because you carry a lighter around that doesn't make you a pyro.
Person: LOL! I am such a pyro, Ohmagawd!, this one time I, like, burned a leaf.
You: I hope you die in a car wreck.
What does "pyro" mean?
The Pyro is one of the offensive classes of the FPS Team Fortress 2. The Pyro's main purpose is to burn everything around them, and so the Pyro excels at close combat but is nearly useless beyond medium range. The character's voice and appearance are both obscured by a gas mask and a fireproof suit, so there is no proof to the Pyro's gender, even though Valve have offered teasers that the Pyro is a woman. Judging by the taunts used by the Pyro, he/she is a pop culture geek.
Stock weapons consist of a flamethrower with a multipurpose secondary fire, a shotgun, and a fire axe. Unlockable weapons include a flamethrower that does automatic critical hits on a target from behind, a flare gun to ignite targets at long range, and an axe that inflicts an automatic critical hit on a burning target. Because of the immediately obvious and lingering effects of fire, the Pyro is considered ideal for checking for the presence an enemy spy.
The Pyro is often considered overpowered or a noob class thanks to a combination of speed, decent health, and a primary weapon that doesn't require slowing down, precise aim, or reloading that gets more powerful as the range gets closer. Most Pyros, noob or not, are accused of being a W + M1 player. In spite of the accusation that playing Pyro is easy mode, the Pyro does not top the charts for most played class, most points per hour, most kills per hour, longest life, most damage dealt, or indeed any statistics tracked by Valve.
The pyro isn't a hard class to play. It just takes a smart player to live longer than 30 seconds per respawn.

Someone who likes to play Team Fortress 2 on Easy Mode. Pyro is the easiest class and it is very common for a noob to get the top score on a map with Pyro. The Pyro's skills are simply holding W and MOUSE1 until everyone in front of you is dead.

a gas masked fire freak who carrys a flame thrower and a gas mask whear ever he goes, a pyro ussally likes setting pepole on fire for a living and loves hurting and killing pepole with explosives. but a pyro often thinks other wise about what he is doing. for example the pyro will chop someones arm off with a fire axe but thinks hes giving a baby a large lollypop. the pyro has his own town called pyroland and the mayor off this town is the ballooncorn. the ballooncorn overtakes the person (he/she) who is the pyro and makes theam do stuff like that wall making theam think other wise. the pyro often sais huda huda...also you can tell if he/she is a pyro if the person talks about ballooncorns such as in this exapmle.

A "pyro" is a person addicted to fire. Most of society (mainly teenagers) claim to be pyros, just because they like to play with fire. In fact,
"pyro" is short for pyromania, and it is a mental addiction to fire. For a pyromaniac, it's not normal to go a day without fire. They usually handle themselves well normally, but when around fire they could become jittery, aggressive, and obsessive compulsive. They can be obsessed with exploding things, may carry lighters at all times, and may have mental disorders such as Schizophrenia and Psychopathy. If someone is a "pyro" it is extremely noticeable.
Pyro: Dude, this morning I made 3 drano-bombs, and lit them all off at the same time. It was awesome! I also added another 2 lighters to my collection. Want to come over later? I think I'm going to make some more bombs. I hope the bomb squad doesn't catch me this time. Later me and some friends might go light this guys house on fire too!
Pyro
A slang for a pyrotechnician, usually used to describe anyone who likes fire, or claims such. Many associate them with anarchy, because of the anarchists cook book, a work that is hated by almost all professional pyrotechnicians. Due to mis-understanding by the general public, pyrotechnics as a hobby is getting harder and harder to really get into.
