What is american eagle?
American Eagle (AE, A&E, AEO) is a popular teen clothing store. Its competitors are Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister Co., and Aeropostale. Out of these stores, American Eagle is the 2nd most affordable clothing with Aeropostale ranking as the cheapest.
Many people think that only rich preps and posers shop there to fit in at school, but a lot of people(who definitely are not rich) shop there because they actually like the clothes. AE provides great clothes at an affordable price (that is, when it is on the clearance section). Anyone besides 'preps' can shop here also!
The trick to shopping at A&E without paying such an expensive price is to shop at the clearance section at the store or online. It is possible to get 10 items for 100 bucks, which really is not bad.
Con: Since a lot of people shop here, it's hard to be unique and some styles are similar to Hollister, AF and Aero..

American eagle - what is it?
A real great clothing store. They sell very cute and casual clothes.
Personally i like AE more than Hollister because Hollister just seem too beach bummy..theres holes in everything and the clothes dont seem to fit anyone in the :large: catagory,But AE fits everyone and has different types of clothing not only for preps. if you walk into the store they play a wide variety of music.
Oh, and their models actually show the clothing...not their bodies haha.
I've been shopping at AE for 5 years(before it was popular) and they have not changed their comfy casual clothing. My all-time favorite store.
And for those who hate American Eagle just because its popular...try on a shirt...theres a reason this place is so popular :

its funny how ppl are saying, real preps were polo and lactose, and American Eagle is just a poser brand. Did you ever think that people don't buy the clothes because they wanna be a prep? Maybe they buy the clothes because they like the way they look *gasp* thats a new concept

Kickass shop usually found in malls. A shop with preppy-style shirts, but who gives a fuck. Their shirts are awesome, hilarious, and you can get some for half the price of Abercrombie's shirts. People that diss this shop are (1.)fucking retarded, (2.)havent even been there, (3.)or they just hate an asshole that happens to be a "Prep", so they stereotype all preps.

a store that people like to talk shit about, apparently.
their clothes are cute, a lot of the time. they're not the best made clothes in the universe, but they're not bad either. they can be a little more than i can afford sometimes, but if that's the case, there's always the clearance rack.
really, when it comes down to it, they're just clothes. you're probably missing out on meeting a lot of cool people if you judge people by what they wear

a store for usually preppy people. they have good quality clothes for an okay price. often compared to a&f and hollister, but its actually in some ways alot different. for one thing their smalls are like a large at abercrombie.(no offense to abercrombie or anything, but it is true)

a laid-back prep/surf-style store that sells clothes to teens other than 12-year-old anorexics and sluts; unlike most teen stores, the clothes actually fit if you buy the right size.
I went to American Eagle this weekend for some new summer clothes.

American Eagle is a store where clothing is sold. Shopping there doesn't make you a snob/prep/rich bitch etc... I make a killing @ the clearance rack cuz boyfriend/artist jeans for $30 makes my ass look phenomenal. NOT because I want to look like everyone else.
