Makers of absolutely stunning Burberry Trench Coat Copies and commensurate safari jackets; said garments happen to look bitchen on women with super measurements.

ABERCROMBIE AND FITCH - definition

A line of clothes just like other clothes that all of you buy. It isn't cheap, but then neither are designer jeans and neither is nordstrom so why are those ok and abercrombie isn't? The problem with abercrombie is that it is associated with a certain type of people. So by saying that only stupid blonde rich bitches shop at abercrombie, isn't that the same as when stupid blonde rich bitches say that someone is a loser because they are wearing similar clothes as last week?

"Original and non-Materialistic" person: "I hate that stupid blonde rich bitch."
Friend: "Why?"
"Original and non-Materialistic" person: "Because she wears abercrombie!"
Friend: "I thought you didn't care what people wear!"
"Original and non-Materialistic" person: "ummm... well... this is different... maybe?"

ABERCROMBIE AND FITCH - slang

A lifestyle brand marketed and made to appeal to a specific group of people. It's really that simple and note how I said "appeal to a specific group of people." Hot Topic doesn't appeal to me. It appeals to a specific group of people. It's all the same thing if you take the time to think about it. Different clothing companies for different kinds of people. See the innate diversity there? Apparently not as everyone thinks it's cool to bash what people wear. I see just as many people rip on kids who walk around wearing chains and other goofy adornments from Hot Topic as I see kids who get ripped apart for wearing 9 layers of different colored Abercrombie clothing in the summer time. The difference and the reason that Abercrombie and Fitch is generally targeted and insulted is simply that people who wear Abercrombie and Fitch are more often than not perceived as cool whereas the people who walk around in Hot Topic UFO pants are largely seen as weirdos. There you have two stereotypes which are both equally stupid and equally irrelevant, but hey, we all live in a country inhabited by people who can't get their head around anything but their own insecurities.

As a side note, I wear a lot of Abercrombie and actually work in one simply because the job is easy. A lot of my friends wear Rocawear and there are a few that wear PacSun and Hot Topic clothes. The bottom line, none of us could care any less what any of us wear. How it should be...

Actual example:

I walked into the GNC in the mall where I work and started talking to the guy behind the counter.

He goes, "Hey, do you work at Abercrombie and Fitch?"

I go, "Yeah man, how'd you know?"

He goes, "Your clothes bro, I don't know, you look like the kind of kid they'd hire."

Mind you he had tattoos covering his body and had about 4-5 piercings on his face.

I go, "Well by that token what are you on break from Hot Topic?"

ABERCROMBIE AND FITCH

A place where people buy clothes, just like where all of the "original", "non-conformist", "different", people go. It is expensive...but if its not your money, why do you care so much? You say you want to be your own person...but you and i know there are a million people out there who say that, and hang out in groups together, listen to the same music, like the same things and clothes. You are discriminating against a group of people who spend alot of money on clothes...wow, just a little condescending if you ask me? If these people want to wear the clothes then let them, hating someone because they wear different clothes is just lame.

"non-conformist": "hey, look at those stupid preps, i don't think i've ever talked to that guy, but he looks DUMB, and he wears that GAY polo shirt, what a FAG."
"friend": "yea, i know, look at them all and their expensive clothes, i hate them because they wear them, why can't they be individuals like us...by the way, i like your black shirt and pants, they look just like mine."

ABERCROMBIE AND FITCH

Overpriced clothing, no different from any other cotton shirt or denim jeans. A company that is trying to sell a pathetic image while brainwashing teens into slapping down $60 bucks for a shirt. Is there some kind of "special material" or "quality" that these shirts have? No, foolhearted children, its just the big fat aberslobby logo that was crudely stamped on by the same malaysian sweatshop worker who made my shirts that I found for 7 bucks. If you think that you feel more comforable in some rags that scream "look at me, I'm rich and pay 60 bucks for a shirt" then you are quite a materialistic person. The store's always blast a thumpin' beat that disgraces any kind of music. They wouldn't want to play anything that would "turn away" any A&F mind jobs and their daddy's fat wallets. Notice all the people that shop there all fit the same type of mold. Rich, materialsitic, dumb, blonde girls, and rich, prep/fag, "popular" guys. I guess all of the money that A&F has been sapping from teens has been put into very good marketing, To bad it wasn't accutually going into making a better product, in to which it should be.

Clueless Blonde:"Hey girls lets go to abercrombie and fitch, my dad just gave me 450 dollars, I can get the 2 new shirts I wanted!"
Materialistic Friends:"Yay!"
A&F Employee/Male Model:"Hey ladies theres a sale on jean marked down to only 129.99!"

Fag1:"I need to go to A&F and spend lots of money"
Fag2:"What did you say?"
Fag1:"I need to go to A&F"
Fag2:"No you didn't, what was that last part?"
Fag1:"Like whateva, girlfriend, you be trippin'"

ABERCROMBIE AND FITCH

A popular clothing store usually more trendy than is fashionable(but then again, fashion is subjective). Villified by some, and loved equally by others. Lovers are usually characterized by various stereotypes including "preps", "jocks", "cheerleaders" and being "popular" and claims that the brand is "stylish". They say that haters are jealous because they can afford $75 jeans while forgetting that fact that designer denim(which cost upwards of more than $100) is more fashionable and highly regarded than mall jeans. Haters on the other hand are characterized by various stereotypes of various countercultures including, but not limited to "goths", "emos", "skaters", "punks" and "being different". They often consider AnF as sheep clothing, claim that preps who wear them aren't really real preps in the traditional sense while completely forgetting that words change and goth used to mean the barbarians of Western Europe, etc, etc.

Both sides should stop taking this thing so seriously, all of them(that should include me and I should not have added this entry because that makes me no different from any of you), are all sheeps of thier respective "cultures". Both are walking stereotypes and are no different from each other.

Incorporate AnF into your wartdrobe. It wouldnt hurt, maybe just your ego. But at the same time, don't just wear AnF exclusively. You look cheap, go buy some real designer stuff, not some mass produced crap all the time.

I wear raw denim and people don't know what it is so I feel better about myself because I am oh so cool. But only I know it. ABERCROMBIE AND FITCH and Hot Topic have some interesting clothes but not all and I love browsing there and taunt the sheeps in my head to make me feel better about myself.
