What is Slow Burn?
Slow Burn is a popular trope where the characters of the main pairing start off not in a relationship and focuses on the slow development of a romantic or sexual pairing. They get to know each other deeply before engaging in any sort of sensual contact.

What does "Slow Burn" mean?
a fart, typically of the hot, silent kind, which takes a signifigantly longer time to dissipate in a room.
"Better take your time going in that room, I just cut a fart, and it's a slow burn."
Slow Burn - what does it mean?
To patiently guide someone thru a series of events or questions over a period of time that will ultimately lead them to incriminate or embarrass themselves. Similar to what a lawyer or police officer does to get someone to confess. Can also be similar to a con but the goal is usually to humiliate the person, not take their money.
I know your wife's sister invited you over while your wife is out of town but I wouldn't go over there if I were you. She might be setting you up for the slow burn.
Slow Burn - meaning
Gradual but inexorable increase in anger, eventually becoming outright rage or fury; what happens as a patient or slow-witted person figures out what has happened and why it is significant. NOT the insult, but the process that the insult (or other upsetting thing) starts in the victim.
"Beware the fury of a patient man" -- Seneca was talking about the consequences of a slow burn here.
At first Ned liked to think his new girlfriend was popular, but as that progressed to flirty, and then to "widely available even when Ned was right there", he began to do a slow burn about it; finding her topless in the kitchen at a party was the last straw.

"slow burn" is an expression used by soyboys to refer to their favourite type of horror, one "without jumpscares" and "therefore friggin' superior". The most notable examples of this type of horror are A24 films.
It often is preceded by "(a) bone-chilling".
