A term used to describe someone who is desensitized to the wondrousness of their job, possession, or other general noun due to prolonged exposure.
Coined after Elton Johnβs βRocketmanβ in which a seemingly wondrous job that involves going to space becomes mundane and βjust another 9-5 job.
John is really going through the βRocketman Effectβ... he has a job as a game developer, but finds it mundane and uninteresting.
What does "Rocketman" mean?
