To disguise a link to a video of Rick Astley singing "Never Gonna Give You Up." Popularized from excessive use on 4chan and certain Internet gaming forums.
After being rickrolled for the third time that day, Dave was dismayed to find that he had actually learned the words to the song.
What does "RickRolled" mean?
The act of following a link which you believe to be a subject of interest for you but instead links you to a video of Rick Astley - Never gonna give you up.

RickRolled - what does it mean?
Similar to the Duckrolled internet fad that was around about a year ago. Rickrolled is generally used on forums, message boards, or IRC. You click a link expecting to see something relating to the thread, and instead it takes you to the Rick Astley music video "Never gonna give you up".
Popularized by the SomethingAwful and World of Warcraft forums in March of 2007, it's starting to disperse onto more websites as of May.
Someone posts a thread that says "check out my new car", when you click the link it takes you to a YouTube video of Rick Astley's "Never gonna give you up" music video. To which you usually reply with a derogatory remarks or "RICKROLLED."

To post a misleading link with a subject that promises to be exciting or interesting, e.g. "World of Starcraft in-game footage!" or "Paris Hilton blows Busta Rhymes' dick" but actually turns out to be the video for Rick Astley's debut single, "Never Gonna Give You Up". A variant on the duckroll. Allegedly hilarious.
...so instead of getting to beat off to footage of Ann Coulter getting raped by hyenas, I got rickrolled. What a day!

A method in which a prankster makes a fake link to the music video of Rick Astley's Never going to give you up. To be rick rolled is to be the victim, rick rolling is the act of being the predator. The prank is considered funny because of the horrible dancing in this music video. Sometimes the bar tender is seen to be funnier. Over one million people have been rick rolled and counting.
