What is Masks?

Putting on a fake face by hiding their feelings.

I feel so down today but, I put on a fake mask by smiling so that the people around me don’t see me as a depressed person.

Masks - what is it?

A song made by a popular YouTube named Dream. It’s the worst fucking song ever. Do not listen to it.

Random person: Do you like Dream’s song Mask?
Normal person: Fuck no, I’d rather suck an elephants cock and be butt fucked by a cactus at the same time than listen to that

What does "Masks" mean?

Masking is a complex and costly survival strategy for autistic people. It generally involves intentionally learning neurotypical behaviors and mimicking them in social situations. Sometimes masking focuses on hiding behaviors that people feel won't be accepted.
In that way its like putting on your "social mask" so you can interact with people efficiently even though that's now how you normally act or would want to act if you weren't afraid of being seen as strange.

Autistic person: yeah I learned early in school that I should just chuckle whenever someone says something weird to me because they're probably making a joke or smiling whenever someone else is smiling so I don't look out of place

Non-autistic friend: ohh so you mean like masking right?

Autistic person: yeah exactly!

Masks - what does it mean?

The moral decision heads of state need to take due to a shortage of face masks in the market, as they don’t want to create a public panic that would lead to mask hoarding, which would endanger the lives of unmasked medical personnel and frontline workers.

With the pandemic crisis worsening, and not wanting to alarm the public by telling them the painful truth of a dearth of mask supply, politically vulnerable heads of state need to make up their minds whether to mask or not to mask the populationβ€”which decision would minimize the number of infections and deaths?

Masks - definition

Like vaccines and testing kits, masks are a source of profit for a few people whenever lots of people start buying them. If you're someone in the business of selling masks, medical supplies, vaccines, or test kits, why wouldn't you want rules to dictate people's lives pushed on them? You can tell them it's a win win for them, meanwhile you make all their money.

New rules and restrictions create a demand for masks that wasn't there before the rules and restrictions. Since a supplier benefits the most from all of this, wouldn't you think the suppliers were the same ones writing the rules, restrictions, guidelines, and laws?

Masks - slang

Masks are already mandatory, and enforced by plenty of store owners, so a vote to enforce what's already enforced is pointless. The majority of people are already wearing masks, the majority of people seem to want other people to wear masks, and it still doesn't change anything for the few that aren't wearing them. There is no new normal for the few not controlled by the entity that calls itself a government.

Elected officials want to vote, then vote again more ways to fuck with people lives, but the ones they're trying have either already been tried, done, or are being tried and done now, and they don't work on everybody. Wearing masks is a decision each person makes for themselves.

Masks

Despite what the media keeps telling people about there not being mask mandates on public transportation until now, 7 months into the pandemic, there have actually been mask mandates on public transportation since near the beginning of the pandemic for amtrak, and since late June in at least one state on buses and public transportation other than Amtrak. When they get more desperate to try and control people's lives and behavior, they start threatening people again with more of the same guidelines while calling them new.

Really the entity that calls themselves the government wants to get away with locking people down again, but they know that at least a few people will always resist it rather than respect it. The masks are just another distraction.

Masks

Businesses thrive on public spending, and though they can suffer when people are worried about the virus and safety, they can also suffer if they try and run people off for not wearing a mask inside. Customers are still trying to go in and spend money, but if that is no longer possible due to trespassing laws, the businesses will lose those of their customers that aren't wearing masks, its inevitable. You aren't in support of both the economy and public health at the same time, or finding a balance between the two, when you take away the bullshit it's simply been nothing but a power struggle. You've got some governors who wanted people to show them if they're not bluffing.

Requiring masks is another way for someone to try to gain compliance/alliance with the public. They're popular with some people, there are always going to be a few who disagree though.
