What is Mall Rats?
A term made in Seattle , Washington when a person goes to the mall every weekend , they go there to hangout on their free time. They basically live in the mall they don’t even have to buy anything they just go.

one who spends most of their time at the mall as if it is the coolst place in the world. usually mallgoths and babygoths but can be preps too. (also note that the former likely be near hot topic and the latter will be in or near abercrombie or hollister or AE)

What does "Mall Rats" mean?
10-12 year old girls who smoke cigarettes and usually have clothing that is thought to be appropriate for dirty run down strip joints. It is not unusual to see a pack of three to four scurrying around the mall at unusual hours, although seeing them with their obnoxiously older boyfriends is not a rare sighting either. Their boyfriends usually range in age from 18 to 22. it is also not unusual for a pack to come up to a group of upstanding citizens asking for a dollar when all they want to do is get something to eat and get the fuck out.

a person, typically a teenager, that spends his LIFE at the mall with friends//boyfriend//girlfriend. it is easy to spot them, some are punks, some are preppy Hollister Monsters, and some are cheap Aeropostale loserrs. they also b e l i e v e that being a mall rat will assist them on the quest of finding the man//woman of their DREAMS. a mall rat is also a GREAT idea to be for Halloween ! ! Mall Rats - meaning
A mall rat is a creature that is overpopulating the malls across the nation, mostly on Saturday afternoons. These creatures are most known to be horny teenagers and early twenty-agers who can easily be spotted wearing slutty clothes that either has printed on them: Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, or in fewer cases if it's a less fortunate mall rat, Aeropostale. These creatures think they are "cool" and will find someone to mate with by wearing such slutty clothes, but in reality, they are just wasting their life away walking around the damn mall all day long with nothing better to do. Also the younger mall rats (the vast majority of them) have their gullible parents walk into one of the clothing stores mentioned above with them so they can make them pay an arm and a leg for the overprice sluttly clothes sold there.
Mall rat 1: "Hey! what do you want to do this weekend?"
Mall rat 2: "I don't know. HEY! lets go to the mall!"
Mall rat 1: "Ok. Sounds fun! Maybe I can talk my mom into buying me those tight pre-ripped jeans from Abercrombie for $95, and then after that, we can walk around the mall all day there because we're cool!"
Mall rat 2: "OMG! that sounds like the perfect way to spend a Saturday!"
Mall Rats - definition
Usually, preteens, who have no where else to go on friday or saturday nights since they dont have cars and cant get in anywhere anyway. These youngsters walk around the mall for hours at a time, and usually do not make one single purchase. Also, female mallrats usally wear the sluttiest clothing ever. These girls actually think that there are people to impress at the mall and that they will somehow meet their dream man there.
I went to the mall to get new shoes on friday and i saw the same mall rats pass by me at least ten times!
Mall Rats - slang
Someone (usually a teen, preteen, male or female) who spends a very large amount of time at the mall (shopping center, enclosed shopping area, how ever you want to look at it) and does NOTHING at all but walk around, talk with friends, annoy people, ect. The females of this variety usually act very similar, but tend to dress drastically more slutty, wearing ripped jeans, shirts with the holes in the sleeves, yoga pants, (make camel toe much more visible) and UGG boots. They also add pounds of make-up and "whore lashes". They usually have little to no money on them, and do nothing but loiter and maybe, just maybe buy a snack or two. These crowds typically think what they do is "cool" and will walk around in crowds or groups (sometimes as many you can call it a mob. usually 4-15 people give or take) and talk with other groups and sometimes join into the rare Mall Blob. They also torment mall customers and Security Guards and sometimes make friends with shop employees and sometimes get free stuff from them and mooch off of them. They also use very odd catch phrases, like Groovy and Hellz Yeahz, or Too the Max!
Joey: Hey! Want to go to the mall?
Matt: Sure! We can goo with Josh, Kim, Ray, Jack, and Maria!
Joey: Awesome! I think Mark and a bunch of his friends are going too!
Matt: Sick! Hey, maybe Paul will let us sneak a movie and get us some popcorn!
Joey: Yeah man! I bet you any money Kim will have guys all over her the way she dresses and in those yoga pants? Woah!

Mall Rats
Young/pre teens that spend time at the mall just to hang out whenever they get the chance with no other particular purpose. Kids that walk around the mall in groups of 2-4.
"Mall Rats" refers to young teens between ages 13-15, male for female (mostly female).
Mall Rats
A surly teenager who spends all of his or her time at the mall with friends. Typically seen standing around glaring at customers -- sometimes these fascinating creatures will pick fights with mall security and call them "fascists" for enforcing the mall's loitering bylaws. Also often seen intimidating the elderly people in the clothing stores, they flock back to the "baggy pants with mile-long wallet-chain" section of the clothing store when an employee threatens to call the police.
Those mall rats look like a bunch of hosers, I wish they'd get lives and a job.
