What is Internet personality?
Internet Troll Personality Disorder (ITPD) is characterized by a persistent pattern of obstructing of on-topic discussion in online forums and comment threads. People afflicted with ITPD may purposefully present themselves as being inappropriately sexually provocative or racist. Often times they disingenuously express strong emotions with an impressionistic style, pretend to throw arbitrary tantrums, and never hesitate to contribute absurd, non-sequitur remarks at any perceived opportunity.
The etiology of ITPD is still being researched, but scholars agree that afflicted individuals usually enjoy some type of unfulfilling (and unsupervised) employment situation where they have access to computers with internet connections.
Guy #1: So Dean got fired?
Guy #2: Yeah, PLUS he's facing CRIMINAL charges of harassment by wire. You see, someone who Dean was harassing, via the internet, traced his IP address to one of our company's computers. So...
Guy #1: So, good 'ol Dean was bored at work all the time, and this is just another classic case of Internet Troll Personality Disorder, huh?

Internet personality - slang
A person (or persons) that one may typically find on the internet. Their opinions and understandings of any subject they choose to discuss are superior to that of you or any expert in the field. They frequent message boards, the blogosphere, and can be found anywhere on the internet. Not every person that uses the internet is an "internet person," and it's very rare that an internet person would acknowledge his or her self as being one.
Internet people can easily be likened to the Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons.
They also frequently like unpopular things and hate popular things, though if unpopular things become popular they can switch their opinions easily.
Not to be confused with troll
Normal person: "I loved Ocarina of Time, it's easily one of the greatest games of all time."
Internet person: "Ocarina of Time was a trite play on what was once a great series. It is simply A Link to the Past in 3D, with a simplistic and predictable story. Your opinion on the game shows your lack of sophistication."
Internet personality
The personality of a person who spends the majority of there life on the Internet. They are Socially inept, are terribly depressing to be around and all of them have depression. They are everywhere, yet they think they are special because they are still in the childish narcissistic mindset.
Do keep in mind, they have personalities underneath all the meme references. One must get to know them to find out who they really are, but all of them are the same on the surface.
The only cure for this personality is friendship and Zoloft.
