A computer network consisting of a computer to computer connection, as opposed to computer-(router/hub/...)-(other computers)

I use an ad hoc connection to transfer files from my laptop to desktop.

Douchebags who obstruct the view of a hockey game by moving around and getting out of their seats without waiting for the whistle. Most hoc-blocks include first time hockey spectators, drunk assholes, and families with small children (which are the only acceptable hoc-blocks).

"Dude these hoc-blocks need to sit the fuck down, I can't see the game!"

ad hoc comes from Latin and it means "for this", "created for a cetain purpose". When someone comes up with a reason not to do something or to support an opinion.

He hadn`t thought about the matter before, so when we talked he gave me an ad hoc reply.

A logical fallacy in which one event is said to be the cause of a later event simply because it occurred earlier. From the Latin, short for post hoc, ergo propter hoc, "after this, therefore because of this."

Basically: A occurred, then B occurred. Therefore, A caused B.

Post Hoc: Roosters crow just before the sun rises. Therefore, roosters crowing causes the sun to rise.

HoC - definition

Hoc is one of the best people to have on a discord server. Some consider him to be on an equal level to god. If you know a Hoc your in luck because he's somewhat of a gamer. With an outstanding talent of being comedic as well! At the time of writing this he's probably the greatest member of the Pingas discord server. Although to be fair, he will always be the best.
