The creator of AOT Hajime Isayama has left Hanji zoë’s gender up for Interpretation so people can relate to them regardless of their gender. Hanji zoë is quite popular in the lesbian and WLW (women loving women) Community because of their feminine appearance.People commonly use she/her pronouns when referring to hanji.
