What does "CLICKBATE" mean?
Click Bate is created by social media users to trick you into watching their video posts for way longer than is necessary. This allows them to gain more ad revenue by showing how long on average people spend watching there content.
Her exceeding long, uninformative, and purposefully deceitful Facebook video was nothing but clickbate.
CLICKBATE - what does it mean?
1) The pleasure received from clicking social media click bait and sharing them with friends.
2) The act of liking or sharing a link without doing research into its validity.
3) Also a news satire site of the same name.
Man, all these "you'll never believe what happened next" posts are pure clickbation.
