What is up-moving?
When someone tries to swindle their way out of making a full payment by taking what money they do have and balling it up hoping it will delay you from counting their payment until they have managed to slink away.

Up-moving - what is it?
It's a smart remark for when someone does something good, or when one purchased new things for bragging rights. Basically, this phrase is used when one is bragging about something of unimportance. It is used in a sarcastic tone.
"Oh man, my parents bought me a new car!"
"Look at you, moving up in the world."
What does "up-moving" mean?
Wake Up (Make a Move) is the third single from Start Something, the second album by the Welsh rock band lostprophets. This single was under much debate up to it coming out, both lostprophets and their N Prime management wanted the dark, brooding "Make A Move" as a single whereas the label wanted the poppier, catchier "I Don't Know". The band and their management walked away victorious from this battle of wills and the song was released as a single with the modified title "Wake Up (Make A Move)". However, "I Don't Know" was later released for radio airplay in the USA.

The minister responsible for the African "Ground Nut Scheme" boondoggle during the 1950s was given a promotion and a title. His new position required no real work, it was a classic case of fuck up move up.
