Southington - what is it?
Southington is suburb of Hartford with interstate 84 running through it, with about 40,000 people living here. Mostly
comprised of Italians and Polish people.
I just want to say that many of there other reviews about this town are inaccurate. Yes we do have drug problems, but what town doesn't? Other reviews called this a poor town? Southington is comprised of upper middle class, and the average income is about 75,000(which is pretty high). Most of the high schoolers did not pay for their cars and everyone has one(some even get them before there permits.
There are kids at the high school who do not care about school, but there are also who take it seriously. Southington High School has a college going rate about 80% so it can't be that bad. We have two movie theaters in the area, a theme park, and Queen Street which has about name brand restaurant on it.
One thing I can say as an alum of Southington is that there are many kinds of kids at Southington. Generally people are nice and get along. And I am surprised no one mentioned that Southington takes a lot of pride in their sports. All of the sports team are competitive, and will usually compete in the state finals. Overall, you can make what you want of Southington, but most of the other reviews were very wrong.
Southington is really not as bad as these people put it out to be. You can choose to be a nothing or you can be succesful.

A centrally located town in Connecticut. Bordered by New Britain, Cheshire, Meriden, Bristol, Plainville, and Berlin. Its a valley, so all the shit flows down hill. That is my theory explaining our amount of screwed upness. We have low taxes because we sacrifice many social services. We have the least ambitious students around. The last time someone got into Yale was in 1976. Most of our school is content simply ingesting random drugs. We have a drinking high school with a football problem. We have Tops Supermarket which encompasses all that is screwed up about this town. In short, this place sucks and don't move here if possible. John Sample is a REAL person and the living embodiment of our dysfunctional nature. Trivia Bonus: John Sample worked at Tops.

Despite what others say... Southington is a wonderful place to live we do have a slight drug problem but we're working on it, our police are very nice people. Our town may have some "wigga's" but at least we're not a ghetto where you can get shot for looking at someone. Our schools are very nice as i happen to attend one. We also have a great view of the sunset and we have the WORLDS FIRST amusement park Lake Compounce, and two haunted houses. We also gave away ESPN because we didnt think it would become big.

Bc of this reason they choose to get as fucked up as possible before attending(getting really high, piss-ass drunk, etc) Other students attend only to sell drugs also(providing the addicts fix while @ skewl). Southington has everything... drugs...sluts...wiggers...and mother fuckin John Sample.(is he true or just urban myth? you figure it out) It's also been discovered that this town is more picky about their quality of drugs than any other city/town that I've lived in. We also smoke more blunts of fluffy dank nuggets than anyone.
Richest poor kids live in this town and become drug addicts off mommy and daddy's money. Come join us! Won't you?
