Poplar - what is it?
A neighborhood, state of mind, and Lynne's personal boot camp to turn young adults into full fledged alcoholics. Some of the most notable days in Poplar Point history include the great soup heist of 2007, the night james roasted marsh mellows with his ass cheeks, the night Collin intentionally broke a picture frame, and the 10 AM drinking session on St. Patricks day 2008. Most of the stupidity that takes place directly involves Collin who may or may not be asian and mentally handicapped.
I would go to Poplar Point tonight but I do not want my car broken into.
What does "poplar" mean?
The "poplar bluff pose" is when you're taking a picture, usually of you and one more person, one hand is placed on the outer hip, while the other is around the person next to you. While doing this, you lean back as far as you can thinking it looks cute, when in reality, it looks like your ass is about to fall the fuck over.

A small prestigous village in Northern Illinois that is located 15 minutes from Rockford. The town is home to rednecks, crooked politicians, and farmers. Girls here are usually extremely attractive and usually pretty easy. Poplar Grove is also home to North Boone High School aka Cow Pie High. Almost everyone who lives in Poplar Grove, graduated from North Boone HS, and call themselves "Booners." Booners are the most hated "group of high school friends" in the entire area, including all of Rockford. The male Booners steal all of the attractive girls from other area high schools because of their amazing wittyness and charm.
Girlfriend: Who is that guy standing over there?
Boyfriend: Just another Booner, those guys from Poplar Grove.
Girlfriend: (Thinks her head) "That guy is a f8cking stud, what am I doing with this pile of $%*#, I need to get on that Booner."
