What is Truscum?
A trans(sometimes cisgender) person with the belief an individual needs gender dysphoria in order to identify trans/non binary.
They often believe gender dysphoria is some type of mental illness and that pronouns equal someone's gender identity.
Another term for truscum is Transmedicalist.

Truscum - what is it?
A queer individual that holds the belief that you require gender dysphoria to identify as transgender.
The beliefs of some truscums can be a bit extreme, though most aren't. The one thing all truscums have in common is that they believe you must experience some form of gender dysphoria (no matter what form of dysphoria, as long as it is existent) to be able to identify as transgender.

What does "Truscum" mean?
A person who believes only those who have dysphoria and/or medically transition are "real transgender" and others are trans simply to be trendy.
Truscum will say "gender is dead" like a white racist saying they are "race blind". Most appropriate socialism or other progressive ideologies simply for power. All are terminally online.
Truscum will mock your pronouns and call you slurs. But like all other gatekeepers, they are desperate people looking for something to cling on.

A trans person, usually self-described as "MtF" or "FtM" that antagonizes the broader trans community because of their gender dysphoria treatment guidelines stuck in the 1920s, along with the outdated terms that come with them.

A truscum is a (usually trans) person who believes that you need dysphoria to be trans. It's an archaic argument which seeks cis approval instead of holding trans people up. A lot of truscum have extreme internalised transphobia, which they take out on other trans people who they see as 'transtrenders'.

Truscum also known as transmedicalists are a commonly misunderstood community on Tumblr. They follow the medical definition of transsexualism i.e that it's a medical condition and that you need sex dysphoria to be trans.

A portmanteau of true transsexual and scum, it's a pejorative slang term to refer to transmedicalists, which are defined as those who believe that gender dysphoria is a necessary component to being transgender, and those who don't experience it are not truly trans.
