And I believe that the editors may be biased toward rap. But that does not change the fact that RAP IS CRAP and always will be till they stop sampling rock to fortify their garbage.
But don’t feel bad rap people. Rock people consider country crap too. So your not alone but at least country people can read music when their not dating their sister or eating corn through a picket fence.

Electro chic, rock music has nothing to do with Rap. You're a little off there, and plus, it takes talent and skills to write lyrics for Rap/Hip-Hop. If it didn't take talent and skills, then people wouldn't do it. So don't act conceited and all. All music will be remembered, because if any music genre was a fad, then it would be. So don't act like one music genre will be remembered, because you're a dickrider. Reggae, Dub, and Dancehall Toasting started Rap/Hip-Hop, not rock. All music genres will be remembered, and other people like other things, so you better get used to it, or don't say nothing at all.
Electro chic has no grasp of history in music. So saying "rap is" so called crap is not funny no more. rap is crap means good music is bad.
What does "Rap is crap" mean?
First, I would like to say I like all different types of music. One of my favorites are rap tho. The previous guys who said rap is crap are obviously narrow minded racist idiots.
*All rap doesnt sound the same* You got Nelly, Chingy, Lil Romeo, and Stagga Lee who are all jus horrible and full of garbage. On the other hand you have Wutang Clan, Ice Cube, KRS-One, Nas, Rakim, Canibus, Tupac, Biggie and others who express their background and life, and send out important messages. As in all types of music you have the garbage, in the case of rap it is the commercial music, and the good, in the case of rap it is the underground music that the hip hop heads know about and others dont know about.
Most white people that hate rap have only listened to today's commercial garbage and not the real underground shit. Some just are dickriding punks.
So "rap is crap" is a inaccurate saying that narrow minded dickriders use to refer to all rap even though they havent heard all kinds of rap.

That is your opinion still. And overall, no one is going to take you seriously, electro chic. Maybe if you open your mind to other things and forms of music, you might like it. And btw, get your facts straight about other music genres and cultures before saying something stupid.
As for music staying, all of it is. And its really ironic that you say this, because people were saying the same things about Rock when it first appeared from the 50s'70s.
And here's some artists I recommend you, A Tribe Called Quest, Arrested Development, and The Fugees. If you have a shred of intelligence, not ignorance, I guarantee you might like them.

But modern American rap is crap. I make beats and have met with and worked with enough people to see that a lot of these guys think they can do it. They are right and wrong. It seems the African American male community has a false sense of pride in everything they do... its like no one knows when they suck. But yeah that doesn't matter when you have the cash to get in the studio and someone sells you a really phat beat that makes ur song... But yeah don't accuse me of being racist...its the same with these wiggers, except it's even funnier! I wish rap would promote a better vocabulary. Sometimes I have to curb what I say because I hang out with people who speak terribly. It might be cool when you are chillin on the street shootin dice but not when you are talking to the Executive Director! Remember back when hip hop was popular and you never had to look up lyrics because they always used real words? Anyway...heres some proof that a lot of things about rap sucks. Lil Wayne definately has a catchy style but I wouldn't call this intelligent or deep. I think the beat made the song anyway.

Stupid, talentless, immoral people (and I only mean ANYONE who writes rap or listens to it) include offensive, nasty elements in their music. Almost all rap is about sex, killing, raping, or ruh-spekt, and duh-howmeeez, and dah-getow, and duh-biches. RAP IS STUPID, ANNOYING, AND WRONG, and should never have existed, except, in one form. Hardcore rap used to be about Black pride and such, but since then, rap has just become mindless, stupid, SHIT, all about sex and rape and GaNgsTUhs.
