The name of one of the greatest bands in human history. Known for their dark and militiristic music, Rammstein is like no other band in existance. They have practicly invented a new genere of music.

The name "Rammstein" actually oringinates from an accident that happened in 1988 at an air show at a U.S. air base near the city of Ramstein, Germany(hence the name Rammstein, notice how they added an m). The word "Rammstein" litterly means "Ramming Stone" in German, but that was not the intention of the band.

Rammstein's albums are:
(with hit songs and release dates included)

Herzeleid: Seeman, Du riechst so gut, Heirate Mich, Rammstein. Released in 1995, but was Re-Released in 1998 because the oringinal promoted the master race.

Sehnsucht: Engel, Du Hast, Bueck Dich. Released in 1997 in many verations.

Mutter: Links 234, Sonne, Ich Will, Feuer Frei. Released in 2001.

Rammstein has just released their current single "Mein Teil" from thier new album "Reise Reise" which should be released late 2004. Songs from this new album inculde Amerika, Morgenstern, Los, Wo Bist Du, and Moskau which is rumored to be sung with Russian pop duo t.A.T.u. With this new album on the way, Rammstein is continuing to rock on. It is certain that Rammstein will go down in hisory as Gods of Rock.

Rammstein totally kicks a**!

Rammstein - what is it?

A german band with a heavy sound, using almost exclusively german lyrics. Rammstein is frequently assumed to be nazis, homosexuals, and the only band on the planet to make songs with german lyrics. Neither of these assumptions are true.

Rammstein makes use of large amounts of pyrotechnics in their stage shows.

What does "Rammstein" mean?

German Industro-Metal band formed back in 1994. The members are:
Till Lindemann - Vocals
Richard J. Kruspe-Bernstein - Guitar
Paul Landers - Guitar #2
Oliver Riedel - Bass
Christoph Schneider - Drums
Christian "Flake" Lorenz - Keyboard

Their music is, to say the least, a great combination of soothing melodies and lightning-fast guitar riffs and drumlines that put them in a category of (almost) their own. Speaking german or looking up a translation of the lyrics shows just how deep and intuitive their songs can be, and is another affirmation that they are one of the best bands around today. Their closest rival is the Serbio-German Group Laibach, who have been doing this for more than 20 years.

If you like Rammstein, also try Laibach, KMFDM, Stahlhammer, Ministry, Die Pudhys, or Megaherz.
DONT TRY Linkin Park or Slipknot (not that I don't like Slipknot, but they are nothing compared to Rammstein)

Rammstein - meaning

A tanzmetal band from Germany who break taboos like they were a stalk of sugar cane, but its not sweet -- suffice it to say it is a dose of medicine to what pop would never have the guts to counter for these subjects. This is all done in their native tongue with Till's naturally deep voice, hard riffs and super-charged solos, amazing drum work, bold bass, and a melodious keyboard playing that serves as icing over this dark cake. As well as their stage effects of which they have been recognized as the best international act and have also won awards in other categories. Their musical influences, to name a couple, are old Ministry and Nine Inch Nails.

Better bring that block of dry ice because Rammstein is going to be a scorcher.

Rammstein - definition

One of the greatest bands known. A German Industrial band, blending the sound of heavy guitar riffs, with the electornica of a music sampler and insane drumlines.

Formed in 1994, released there 1st album, Herzeleid(Heartache)in 1995,with songs like 'Herzeleid'(Heartache),Du Riechst So gut'(You smell so good)'Rammstein'(Back story in other defs lol Rammstein),'Laichzeit'(Spawning Season),and so much more, forming a foundation of great music over the years. 2nd album released in 1997 Sensucht(Longing) was a great album including songs like 'Sensucht'(Longing), 'Eifersucht'(Jealousy), and more. There 3rd was from a Tour, Live Aus Berlin(Live from Berlin)released in 1999, a great hit, with thier songs well played, even live. Then in 2001, the best album in my opinion, the 4th, besisides Herzeleid, Mutter(Mother), with incredible songs like 'Links 234'(Left 2 3 4),'Sonne'(Sun), 'Zwitter'(Hermaphrodite),'Rein Raus'(In,Out),and of course 'Mutter'(Mother), then in 04 came there 5th called Reise Reise(Rices Trip-literal) with the best song 'Keine Lust'(No Desire), and 'Mein Teil'(My part), and in 05 , now, i think the new albm is Reise Reise II(2), but im not sure, look for it!!!

The greatest band ever, my opinion, the rock, check 'em.

Rammstein - slang

A self-labeled, "Tanz-Metall" band. Tanz-Metall itself is a combination of Dance, Heavy Metal, and Industrial. A lot of common misperceptions about Rammstein, are that they are Homosexual, Neo-Fascists, Or, somehow, Satanists, probably derived from the fact that the song, "Heirate Mich," is often mislabeled as Satan on P2P Networks. A few songs by rammstein follow:
Du Hast, Engel, Ein Lied, Herzeleid, Laichzeit, Links 2-3-4, Feuer Frei!, Mein Teil, Moskau, Schtiel, Jeder Lacht (Unreleased song), Schwarzes Glas (Unreleased), Pesnja O Trevozhnoy Molodosti, FeuerrΓ€der, Stirb Nicht Vor Mir, and Benzin.

Rammstein has also had many Remixes. Some famous remixes are the Industrial mix of Du Riechst So Gut, by Sascha Konietzko of KMFDM, or the Combustion Remix of Benzin, by Meshuggah. Rammstein has been featured in movie's like Lost Highway ("Rammstein", "Heirate Mich"), Triple X ("Feuer Frei!"), Mortal Kombat Annihilation ("Engel"), and Resident Evil ("Halleluja")

A lot of songs by rammstein tend to have humour injected into them, such as,

"Brauch Keine frau,
Nur vasoline"

Which directly translates to, "I don't need a woman, but Vasoline," or, more or less, "I don't need a woman, i have Vasoline"

Some of their songs have been influenced by outside sources, as well. The song, Dalai Lama, is based off of an old German Poem about the Fear of Flight... And the song, "Hilf Mir" is based off of a german Children's Story.

They have released several CD's, the most popular ones, of course, being the Mainstream ones, or, Herzeleid, Sehnsucht, Mutter, Reise Reise, and Rosenrot. They have released several Singles, such as Mann Gegen Mann, Rosenrot, Stripped, two versions of the Engel CD, Das modell, a cover of the Kraftwerk song, Das Modell, and Schtiel, a limited edition CD, which had only 400 copies produced, thus making it a very valuable CD

Me: "Till.. Lindemann... is coming to town?"
Other: "Who's Till Lindemann?"
Me:............... -head asplode with anger, proceeds to smashing fit- "ONLY THE COOLEST PERSON ALIVE."
Other:"O.o"

Rammstein

The best band on the face of the planet, in the course of history...ever! A German Industrial Metal group that, quite simply, kicks ass. Despite the views of the ignorant, Rammstein is NOT a neo-nazi band and has never been affliated with the movement, though naturally, some skinheads do listen to their music. But I digress...Rammstein kicks ass and if you've never heard of them...you have not lived!

Me: I love Till Lindemann. He is an orgasmic industrial metal god!
Id: Till who?
Me: *slaps* Rammstein you doorknob!
Id: Ramm what?
Me: *slap slap* I dont know you.

Rammstein

A German heavy metal band with a very unique sound accused by the media of having nazi/fascist connections. Rammstein band members deny any such connections, dismissing them as "reverse discrimination." In fact, several Rammstein band members have Jewish backgrounds. Note: Rammstein is not a person. Rammstein is the name of the band. The lead singer is Till Lindemann.

I went to the Rammstein concert last week. Till blew up! OMQ!

Rammstein

Rammstein was formed in 1993 by an assembly of factory-weary proletarians raised in East Germany. They took their name (adding an "m") from the location of a German tragedy where 80 people were hurt and killed as the result of a crash during an American Air Force flight show. The literal translation of "ram stein" is a battering ram made of stone.

Word of Rammstein's horror romanticist blend of theatre and music spread like wildfire. One-time Olympic swimmer Till Lindemann would sing entire songs engulfed in flame from head to toe. The band's first album, Herzeleid (or Heartache), built on the grounds created by the band's live reputation. Scaling the German charts (and remaining there until the release of the second Rammstein LP some two years later), the album also introduced the band to the world outside of the Germany/Switzerland/Austria region. As Rammstein's second album, Sehnsucht (Longing), was released, the band was headlining throughout Europe to crowds of 10,000 to 30,000 people. Sehnsucht entered the German charts at number one immediately upon its release, and came very close to doing to the same in Austria and Switzerland. Within weeks, entries on other countries' charts had Sehnsucht rubbing elbows with Prodigy, Radiohead, and the Rolling Stones on Billboard's cumulative Eurochart. From there the fever spread, transcending any perceived language barrier. Somehow, the German language is integral to the Rammstein sound.

Hey isn't that Rammstein playing?

Yes turn it up.
