What does "Optimus Prime" mean?
A term used to describe a very big or powerful truck. Is also the name of the Autobot leader from Transformers, who transforms into a semi truck.
Guys car gets rammed by a semi truck. He says to the truck driver, "God dammit, why'd you destroy my car with Optimus Prime, you idiot."

His main rival is Megaton, Decpticon leader, who is obsessed with trying to beat and kill Optimus.
Prime's noble traits include playing fair, never leaving anyone behind, never asking anyone to do something he wouldn't do himself, entering the battlefield first and leaving last, fighting for the freedoms of all sentient life, giving fair warnings, preserving peace and ofcourse giving inspirational speeches.
His abilities wary and whilst he lacks the destructive talents of Megatron he more than makes up for them with his support abilties and particularly his ability to control inanimate parts or drones. His major ability is to combine with his trailer or drones to become Super Optimus. Beyond that he can readily combine with other Transformers to become even more powerful.
As the true leader of the Autobots he is beqeeathed the Matrix of Leadership which allows him direct access with the very soul of Cybertron as well as the collective knowledge of all former Autobot leaders.
Such is Primes awesomeness that he can always rise from the dead and hence he is known as Jesus Prime.
So great is his ladership skills that even other species like humans would openly serve him and allow him to become an elected leader because that's how great and effective he is.

1. (n) Leader of the Autobots, the protagonist of the Transformers universe. Originally transformed into a red cab-over semi-truck, his form has evolved through the various iterations of the Transformers universe (see Optimus Primal).
He is known for his strong leadership and courage and would easily sacrifice himself for the safety of others. His selfless personality is one of many traits that made him a great leader. Optimus Prime could be easily described as a "reluctant warrior", in that he only engages in war when absolutely necessary. It is possible this attitude prolonged the Autobot/Decepticon war.
He and Megatron (or his numerous iterations) have always shared a mutual respect for each other, and have opposed each other in nearly every depiction of the Transformers universe.
In the 1986 Transformers animated film, Optimus Prime was killed after a fierce battle with Megatron, but his character returned several times during the series.
Optimus Prime was the most liked character among young viewers of the original series, although his toy was not the highest selling (original release, excludes all others).
