What is NoFap?
A new epidemic sexual disorder in one's life, basically refraining from masturbation. Mainly targeted at males.

NoFap - what is it?
A community where people go to wallow in self-pity and brag about their "addiction".
It does help some people with their real life endeavors, but only through the superficial validation and amnesty for all of their wrongdoings. Nofappers believe that nothing they have ever done is their fault, because they are afflicted with the "addiction" of masturbation.
Needless to say, the subreddit is full of depressed people.
NoFap is ironically the biggest circlejerk on Reddit.

NoFap - meaning

They believe their life is ruined when they "relapse", that is, to break their streak of days without "PMO" (Porn-Masturbation-Orgasm), and that abstaining will give you powers such as: confidence, a deeper voice, enhanced muscle growth, a presence that will attract females and so on. Of course, you'd lose them if you relapse.

There are studies to this, for example "A research on the relationship between ejaculation and serum testosterone level in men." by Zhejiang University, that can be summarized as follows: On the 7th day after abstaining, there is a peak in testosterone levels with an average 45% increase of the base level. The day after, it quickly drops back to normal and doesn't reach a peak anymore.

The idea that one can become stronger and better themselves by abstaining from porn and masturbation (possibly arousal as well). Personally NoFap has worked for me wonders. I am currently at 92 days, and although I do not have “superpowers” my mind is much clearer, and I feel more motivated to eat healthy, go to the gym, and daytrade.
