When a major presidential candidate loses the election because votes that would have gone to him instead go to a third-party candidate.
Al Gore got nadered in 2000 when 100,000 people in Florida voted for Ralph Nader instead of him.

To inflict equal damage on yourself while attempting to harm an adversary. Much like presidential candidate Ralph Nader did to himself and Al Gore in the 2000 election.

A man who works for the people, not the corporations or special interest groups. Devoted to end corporate welfare, corporate crime, and strengthen environmental regulations. Also dedicated to preserve our rights.
Democrats and Republicans are sellouts to the corporations. Unlike Bush and Kerry, Nader and candidates like Badnarik care about you. They're running to improve your lives, not to improve theirs.

bringing a third candidate into a political race who has a less than a zero chance of winning, but for delusional reasons of "principal" this candidate joins the race and the result is the delusional candidate filters enough "statement" votes from the frontrunner to give the expected runner-up the victory.
Our best shot at winning this election is to Naderize a kook into joining the race to take votes away from our opponent.
