To make something from several other similiar things.
My car broke down so I had to Frankenstein a new engine from old Mustang and Corvette parts.

Frankensteining - what is it?
A book by Mary Shelley in which a man by the surname of Frankenstein discovers a method of creating life, and in doing so creates a monster whom he then abandons. The monster's life is a living Hell from that point forward, and he eventually sets out to get revenge upon his maker. The story has symbolic references to many things, including the importance of parenting and the evils of playing God. Either way, a firmly held belief among morons is that the monster's name was Frankenstein, when in fact the monster was never named.

Taking bits and pieces of old projects, putting them together and making a new project.
I have a term paper due in the morning but I didn't write a whole new paper. I just frankensteined a couple of old projects together.

Verb. To combine two things in a crude manner, in which the component parts are still easily visible.
I was hungry but I wanted neither the fish nor the chicken, so I took a needle and thread and frankensteined them together.

To hack off choice bits of one or more existing items and then attach them to a new project, thereby bending them to suit your own requirements (diabolic or not). When you are about to smoke a bong and you use many parts that are from other peoples bongs, so its like the best parts of each. You must use more than 3 parts. For example, you could use one persons bong, another persons ash catcher, and a third persons bowl.

Combining various items to make an object or concept that works, but not very efficiently. (Originating from novel Frankenstein by Shelley)
Most commonly a fashion term, refering to a stylist picking various pieces from a range of set outfits in a hurry, throwing them together, and creating an outfit that sort of works, but is largely wrong.
A: Hey M, the wheels on my suitcase just broke and I need to wheel this to the check in point.
M: No problem, with a thin sharp implement, make to central holes in these bottle lids, and use them as wheels.
A: Nice! Hey....They sort of work, but...they're a bit frankensteined

The act of bringing something or someone to life by means of electricity.
1) Matt: Come on man we gotta go
