Rose to prominence after the election of Donald Trump coinciding with the rise of fringe groups such as the "alt-right" and a normalization of white supremacist sensitivities. Has been used in message boards for years as a regular derogative towards white people(see previous definition, however I have a feeling that guy is a CAC), but so, as the English language, definitions and terms change.
