Bad Religion - what is it?

Back in the time before MTV, there was a thing called "passion for music". Now, some of you may not know what that is and I can't blame you, for you have been victimized by MTV through bain washing. Anyways in this age of "musical passion", there existed a band called Bad Religion, who were very young at the time. They would form Epitaph Records, an independent record label that gave creative control to its bands not seen in like, forever. This record label would produce amazing bands such as NOFX, Bad Religion, Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Offspring, and Pennywise. This record label was like the mecca, or holy grail, of aspiring punk rock bands of the 90s. These bands didn't need publicity, to be expoited by MTV. They proved that you can live and be in an indie band at the same time. Now, I don't know what went wrong with punk rock along the lines, but these new bands just suck.

To make a long story short, just get Bad Religion's newest cd, The Empire Strikes First, and you will never go Good Charlotte again.

Bad Religion - meaning

One of the best punk bands still around today. Definatly 1 of my favourite political punk bands, both musicaly and in terms of lyrical truth and thoughtfulness. Normaly each song has a powerful moral/politcal message.

E.g When all soliders lay their weapons down, or when all kings and all queens relinquish their crowns, or when the only true messiah rescues us from ourselves, then it's easy to imagine there will be sorrow no more.

Songs: Sorrow, 21 Century Digital Boy, I Want to conquer the world

Bad Religion - definition

Like just about everyone else has said... the best Punk Band ever. Hell, forget labels. One of the best Bands ever. All those poser bands coming out now-a-days don't even compare and it makes me sick how little recognition Bad Religion gets. Known for their inspirational and political lyrics, Bad Relgion is the r0x0r.

Bad Religion is Punk, not Blink 182... or Greenday, but Bad Religion.

Bad Religion - slang

One of the greatest punk rock bands of all time, and they're going bald at the same time. That's hard to do.

Bad Religion destroys crappy pop punk boy bands with their advanced rhetoric. LOL!

Bad Religion

The pinnacle of Punk rock - Have been Tagged "The Offspring with Brains". Set the standard for Punk Rock music, and the standard has yet to be beat by any other band ever.

Bad Religion fuse Harmonius vocals with thought provoking lyrics to create music of unreleting brilliance.

There's people out there that say i'm no good
'Cause i don't believe the things that i should
And when the final conflict comes i'll be so sorry i did wrong
And hope and pray that our lord God will think i'm good

Bad Religion

One of the coolest punk bands around who date back to the 80's when punk was still punk, instead of a trendy way to dress or some other Blink 182-listening poser-bullshit.

After 20 years in the industry, the band members have receding hairlines and still truely know how to rock!

"Hey you, is there something worth aspiring to? And can it be found in a record store? well, its not there anymore. Just think of all the things we did we were different, just like all the other kids.
Missy was a teen blue video star,
Tom took his life in his mother's car,
Milo went to college but you knew about that,
Rodney played our records,
Jimmy started riots,
Laurie was always quiet,
she was battling depression...
Hey you, is there something worth belonging to? And can I pick it up for a song? Or a diploma or a worthy cause, well, let me tell you that there's nothing wrong, its just that ones like us will never belong..." - Excerpt from Bad Religion's "You don't belong"

Bad Religion

Kickass punk band from California.

Thye're smart as hell. Here's why:

Greg Graffin, the lead singer has PhD in in evolutionary biology from Cornell University.

Brett Gurewitz, the guitarist formed Epitaph Records, one of the largest indepdent labels.

So they make great muisc and know what theyre talking about.

They had a 7-year stint on Atlantic Records they went back to Epitaph in 2001 becuase of poor expourse. They were only called sell outs by Brett Gurewitz, who had left the band when they went major and then rejoined when the came back to Epitaph.

Let them eat war!
That's how to ration the poor!
