Tryst - what is it?

1. The sexual equivalent to an asterisk (*).

2. When someone brags about being in a relationship with an attractive and successful person, but, in reality, their whole relationship is built on sex because the other person is married with a family.

Mary loved to brag about her relationship with a wealthy doctor, but everyone knew it was nothing more than an ass tryst.

What does "tryst" mean?

One-night stands or occasional liaisons perpetrated after hours at out-of-town trade shows and conferences, usually between conference exhibitors and attendees staying at event hotels. Participants generally expect toll see the other person rarely - if at all - after such adventures.
