What is suburbs?
A place on the outskirts of the city, this way more people can live in a city. It is often confused with the rich suburbs, such as Beverly Hills, California, and Ladue, Missouri. Many races live here, not just whites.

What does "suburbs" mean?
A horribly boring place to live.The suburbs are filled with rich people and their whiny,spoiled kids who think the world revolves around their "pain" and "suffering."
They are typically advertised with promises of happy lives and easy living.This is a lie,the suburbs are filled with just as much sorrow,hate,and murder as any other place.
The suburbs are also filled with identical houses;these and the people in them leave no room for creativity,individuality,good music,good taste,independence.The suburbs kill your happiness.Don't move there,you'll get seriously depressed.

Suburbs - what does it mean?
The endless sprawl of identikit mass produced housing that surrounds most towns and cities in the western world. Lacking the rural tranquility of the countryside and the spirit, history and community of the inner cities they are designe to enduce a life numbing stupor into it's inhabitents to keep the 'prolls' under control. Also known as concrete deserts, they are the loneliest, most soul destroying and down right dull places on the face of the planet.
Whitchurch (Bristol UK), Enfield (London), Solihull (Birmingham), Cheedle (Manchester) etc etc etc
Suburbs - meaning
A hellish place, where the annoyances of culture come to thrive. Monotony or race is only superceded by monotony of architecture and planning. The dwelling place of the white race - which gives birth to several otehr problems. Ignorance, boredom, and depression are all symptoms of living in the suburbs, which explains why moody rock music listened to by suburban white teenagers is so predominant; these teenagers are convinced that they want their lives to be over when in fact they live in extreme comfort, albeit banal comfort, and suffer from the belief that noone else shares in their "pain-" i.e. the pain of being made fun of in school for wearing all black and losing your girlfriend of two weeks. The urban life provides for daily excitements that prevent idiotic social subcultiures to establish that are often established in the suburbs. For example, the culture of "wiggas", predominant in every suburb, are only established because the youth who practice it are not kept in check by the daily realities of urban life, i.e., black people to show these "wiggas" how dumb they are acting. In other words, these people are bored. High school cliques do not exist in inner city schools, where I attended, due to the fact that there are much more important things to worry about living in the city rather than being a "jock", a "prep", a "nerd", or a "skater". In fact, all students were united in this urban community by the fact that our lives were struggles, i.e. having only one parent, another parent in jail, drugs, welfare, violence, etc. It was not lauded and celebrated as the pop culture it has become in the suburbs, where boredom has provided for inner city life to be exalted as a means to escape the suburban monotony.

Suburbs - slang
The suburbs is where most americans want to make a living. It is where successful individuals or couples who have made it somewhere in life through determination live. Whether or not the same can be said about their children is up for debate, but it is a HAVEN from the noise-ridden, polluted, and often crime / poverty infested city. People living in a suburb ADVANCED in life, and made it out of the city, or were lucky enough to have educated parents who raised them here. Whether or not those privileged appreciate it or not is also up for debate, but as one of those privileged individuals myself, I can honestly say that after 30 years of living in a New Jersey suburb, I have WISENED up enough to say that I am THANKFUL to live in a suburb. Sure, it can get boring, and there are downsides to living in a suburb, but as with anything in life, there are solutions, like earning your own car to get places, as I did (which I must say most 'urbanites' at my job are jealous of). And I must add its nice to come home from a 12 hour shift in the middle of summer to a very suburban SWIMMING POOL, rather than cooling off to a very urban FIRE HYDRANT.
There are mostly negative definitions of suburbanites here, and they are most likely coming from biased and jealous urban folks, who will NEVER make it out of the city, due to their child support issues, or their little record.

an area that is somewhat in between the rural areas and the cities. It is a typical neighborhood, with usually no apartments. watch the movie "over the hedge" and you will get a vague idea of what it is. contrary to what all the other dumb asses are saying on this site about suburbs, the suburbs are pretty freakin' much the best type of area to live in. They are not hellholes or places where white people steal and do drugs. If anything, I think that would be called the ghetto? just maybe? (sarcasm). They are perfect in virtually every way. they also have sidewalks. the houses don't all look alike either. I know, i live in one.

Suburbs
In the cases I know of, it has: a neighborhood with mostly two-story houses, a place to hang out within walking distance((Consists of a movie theater, food place, etc.), and schools within bike-riding distance. Unlike cities, it isn't loud and noisy at night. Usually has middle-class people because the houses are nice. A police station is just a mile away, so crime rate is lower than in most cities even.
Example:
Person 1: I bet living in the suburbs sucks, with it being so boring, and filled with crime!
Person 2: Where'd you get that idea? We don't need cars honking outside our windows for life to be interesting, and the crime rate is very low.
