Squatters - what is it?
An individual who chooses to live either on the streets or where ever she/he is at the moment. These people are often travelers (drifters); hippies who know that even though it is sometimes slightly uncomfortable you may live in Amerika without paying taxes and other advantages that are deemed natural; punks or even political refugees.
And it's totally free though illegal in most areas, so watch out for pigs that will want to hassel you. (You aren't human in Amerika unless you pay their taxes).
These punk squatters I once knew squatted because they were touring with bands 9 monthes out of the year. When not in a van going to the next city you can easily couch surf.
What does "squatters" mean?
Term used for skanks who come to your dwelling and overstay their welcome. During their stay they will bitch about how bad your house is or what necessities you lack in, reguardless of how recently you have moved in. These tricks usually roll in packs and will annoy the piss out of you.
"Dude, these squatters are inhabiting the upstairs with no hope of leaving."

Squatters - meaning
A person, usually homeless, who "squats" in your home for days, weeks, or even months. They overstay their welcome and usually have no where else to go, so they crouch in a corner of somebody else's house and lives, sleeps, eats there as long as they are allowed.

A word used to claim one's seat when they are getting up- the person yells "Squatters!" and later says they "called squatters". This reserves the seat for them until they get back. It is also possible to call permanent squatters if you are the first person ever to sit on a brand new couch or chair.
