What is smoke alarm?
A person (sometimes on the ceiling) that tells you if there is smoke or a fire.
The costlier human smoke alarms even call the firefighters for you.

Smoke alarm - what is it?
A variation of the sexual position "piledriver." During intercourse from a piledriver position, the partner being piledriven emits a fart and the fart is lit on fire (either from a heat source supplied by one of the two partners or from a third party) while someone makes the telltale beeping noise of a ceiling smoke alarm (again, either partner or a third party may supply this noise).
When the drapes caught fire during their second attempt at the South Padre Island Smoke Alarm and the actual smoke alarm woke every guest up, Carl and Carla knew they wouldn't be allowed to film their piledriver sex scenes in the hotel lobby any more.
What does "smoke alarm" mean?
1. euphemism for a small busybody, frequently mounted on the ceiling, that tattles every time anyone cooks anything or takes a shower.
2. Good excuse to have a migraine.
3. Might even alert peeps to smoke too, if it didn't run its batteries down doing false alarms.

The landlord had to put in smoke alarms to satisfy fire code and insurance. The rents had to take the batteries out of the little ijits to preserve our sanity.
The whole complex burned down because a neighbor left the batteries in his smoke alarm, so when another neighbor's smoke alarm went off, he thought it was a false alarm.
