What is power level?
What (actual) geeks have to do in situations where their nerd knowledge and/or abilities (with computers, video games, internet, et cetera) would come in handy, but using them would reveal to everyone that they are a geek. The phrase itself is taken from Dragon Ball Z. Also extends to anime fans who hide their interest to avoid being labeled as a weeaboo, or weeaboos in a social setting who actually manage to shut the fuck up for once.
1. They had a video game tournament at my college last week that even included Starcraft. Despite how well I know I would have done, I chose to hide my power level in order to keep up appearances. Hide your power level.
2. I was walking through town with friends when we happened upon what appeared to be a cosplayer gathering. Though I could name every character, when my buddy asked what the shit those guys were doing, I hid my power level and told him I had no idea.

What does "power level" mean?
Power structures are often described as pyramidal. Within Nature, patterns are repeated and repeatable. One such sequence was described by Fibonacci.

Even if the first two power levels are ignored as they are not human, that would still make 610 the 14th Fibonacci power level. This demonstrates what a sham a so-called democratic institution represents, as within an individual country, the people’s representatives confer at what must be considered merely an administrative level of power.
Following the Fibonacci power level upwards, it could be predicted that the number of members of the leading political party sitting in the House of Commons should hold a comfortable majority and consist somewhere near the 13th Fibonacci power level number of 377 shitting members.
The so-called cabinet consists of the Prime Minister and 22 ministers. This is close to the 7th Fibonacci power level number 21 but even this is somewhat down the power level structure.
The conclusion has to be considered that this power structure comprising Fibonacci power levels does not represent the true power structure in operation. This is merely an administrative power structure that take orders from the true power structures that reside above them.
Whatever human power structure that resides above them though is somewhat obsolete as behind the individual with seemingly the highest power is another level. It ain’t God, it’s a fungus.

A person's "power level" indicates how deeply someone has fallen into fascist ideology. Internet Nazis often advise each other to "hide their power level" when speaking to those outside the fold, so as to avoid scaring away potential recruits with overt Nazi rhetoric or symbols (milk before meat). When a person uses such rhetoric in a public setting, they are "revealing their power level". The phrase comes from the Dragon Ball media franchise (It's over 9000!), and is also generally used on 4chan to describe one's knowledge of a topic, usually "nerd stuff" (so, in a non-Nazi usage, "hiding power level" may refer to not revealing too much about one's knowledge of video games, comic books, anime and other topics).
