What is pantera?
A very good but horribly overated metal band. Fans of Pantera think Diamond Darrell is the greatest metal guitarist of all time yet call him dimebag, a name he generally rejected when with his friends. They also think they are superior to emo fans, when all real rock fans know they both just go /wrists but express it differently.
Typical Pantera Fan - "I like Pantera and like, Slayer, and like, RIP DIMEBAG WE MISS YOU" (while taking shirt off to show tattoos)
A fan of GOOD music - "you know there wouldnt have been pantera without bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, and Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath before them. Oh, and he preferred Diamond Darrell."

A type of car made in the 70's and 80's by deTomaso. Basically created the well known lamborghini style that many recognize today before lamborghini copied it.

A spectacular heavy metal band from the 80s and 90s that combined amazing guitar riffs by "dimebag" Darrel (third only to Eddie Van Halen and Jimmy hedrix)and intesnce vocals, and heavy drums. Pantera brought a new style to the metal scene, and may have single handedly kept metal alive during the grunge era. The band was unfortunetly split up after lead singer, Phil, left to persue other musical gatherings and ofcourse the tragic murder of "Dimebag" Darrel.
A really great mixture of fast drums, amazing riffs, raw lyrics, and outstanding bass. Pantera is all you need.

BEST FUCKING HEAVY METAL BAND IN THE WORLD. they created a whole new genre, and without them all the little hardcore bands wouldn't be here today. They have a variety of sounds, each album has a different sound. They have the best line up too...best guitarist you could ask for (Dimebag Darrell), best vocalist (Phil Anselmo), best drummer (Vinnie Paul), and a damn good bassist (Rex Brown).
