What does "ood" mean?
OOD refers to 'One Of Dem' as in one of the Indians. Indians are people from the Punjab region who go by names such as Gurpreet, Shivaji Joy, Naresh, Baldeep and so forth.
Oftentimes, especially when directed to a call centre you many find the OODs referring to themselves with more prominent western names such as Andrew, John or Alan. This can cause much confusion and during this time it is recommended to carry out the speech test. Asking the western named OOD to pronounce words such as zero, zip, yellow, radar and the letter A can help identify a real OOD.
