What is motarded?

When a person performs his/her job or task with such a high level of motivation it makes them appear retarded. Motivated-Retarded.

Scene: One army platoon has guard shift.

Larry: Hey how are you doing? Are you ok? Do you want to go get some coffee? Do you need anything? Are you cold? Have you seen anything?

Nick: Larry calm down, I'm fine. I don't need anything. Just go back to your post and calm down!

Larry: Ok I was just checking to see if you were alright. Well I'm going to go, I've got 5 other posts to check.

Nick: Ok Larry, do whatever. Just don't have a heart attack. (Larry Leaves) Man that guy is motarded. I swear he takes this job far too serious. He's going to have a heart attack one of these days.

Motarded - what is it?

1) A term used in the U.S. Marine Corps to describe a person that is excessively "motivated" about being in the USMC (military.) He does not think for himself and thinks that whatever the USMC says is ALWAYS right. Follows ALL the rules and consistantly talks about how much he loves the USMC. Sometimes they can be spotted wearing a USMC shirt around. (NOTE: Not all people who wear Marine Corps shirts are Motards, but most Motards wear them quite a bit.)

1) LCpl Benotz: "Dave is such a Motard. He goes to sleep at 2000 (8PM) just to ensure he has more than 8 hours of sleep before PT."

Cpl Schmuckatelli: "Yeah I know, he is so motivated he actually thinks it's wrong to drink underage just because the Marine Corps said so. What a fucking Motard!"

What does "motarded" mean?

A alteration of the USMC term Moto. This word is used to describe some overbearing marine who extremely loud and obnoxious all the time. He is so motivated even in the shittiest situations that everyone wants to kick him in the teeth.

Motards yell all the time, wear clothes with USMC logos all over them, have a ridiculous amount of usmc tattoos, and use the word oorah! excessively. They also like to call cadence while they walk around when not marching a platoon. A motard is usually some private or private first class who hasn't even been deployed.

Marine 1: "It is 0500 on a monday morning, it is raining, it is fucking freezing, and we have been standing in formation for 45min. Can it get any worse?"

Marine 2: "Oh my god, that motard over there won't shut the fuck up!"

Motard: "OORAH MARINES! I FUCKING LOVE PT AT 0500 IN THE MORNING! BY THE WAY I GOT ANOTHER moto TATTOO LAST NIGHT! OORAH!"

Motarded - what does it mean?

Adj./Mil A combination of "motivated" and "retarded". So motivated that the individual looses common sense and does dangerous or outright stupid things, or follows protocol to the point that the individual fails to achive things. IE, the individual is so motivated that they are retarded.

Person 1: "Alex ran out into the open at a Machine Gun Nest to try and shoot the crew"
Person 2:"Well, we've always known he was motarded, but I admit that brings it to new heights."

Motarded - definition

A person in the military who is so motivated they are a fucking idiot, or retarded. Following rules and regulations to the proverbial "T" while not taking into consideration mission accomplishment or troop welfare.

Also, being so motivated in hope of gaining rank faster in order to be able to tell others what to do without being hit in the face because they had their lunch money stolen in high school. They receive absolutely no respect elseware, therefore they stay in the military out of fear of the real world.
