What is lich?
The second expansion for World of Warcraft, featuring the new continent Northrend from Warcraft 3, new pvp battlegrounds and arenas, siege weapons and destructible buildings, the fist hero class the Death Knight,a new proffesion Inscription, new character customization options, new dances, and the level cap will be raised to 80.

Lich - what is it?
The act of slapping a WoW raider across the face in the halls of Icecrown Citadel.
"Dude did you hear about Crushem? He got Lich Slap'd all the way back the whelp cave."
What does "lich" mean?
The Lich King is the ruler of the Undead Armies. He is not a physical being however; he is a spirit-like entity that commands through telepathic messages to his commanding officers. His "spirit" resides within the Frozen Throne: basically a throne completely frozen within layers of ice, and perched on top of a huge mountain of ice and rock.
In the storyline, a former paladin named Arthas becomes power-hungry and searches for Frostmourne, a sword and a powerful artifact that contains the essence of the Lich King. Once having obtained the sword, Arthas becomes possessed to do the Lich Kings biddings, and wants more power.
Soon, after Arthas is able to squelch the opposing forces, he travels to the Frozen Throne as dictated by the Lich King, breaks the ice away from the throne with Frostmourne, and puts on the crown of the Lich King; The Lich King has returned.

Lich - what does it mean?
A relatively strong spellcaster in the WArcraft Custom Game, DOTA. He is a ice spellcaster. He is able to slow and damage an enemy hero with his frost nova ( Killsteal with this would be excellent ^^ )He also increase the team survivility with his spell frost armor. ( Holy Crap! +12 armors?? WTF )His dark rithual ais able to deny an allied creep for your own mana. ( So it will taunt yours foe angrily and he couldn't wait to pwn you so hard! XD! )His ultimate spell, chain frost is very powerful. ( Multiple frost nova only, duh?? )His ulti could rip his foe's living crap out of their heaven. Holy Shit!

An old English word meaning a corpse. It is present in a number of English place names, notably Lichfield, and can also be spelled lych or lyke; it derives from the Medieval English “lic” meaning a dead body.

Lich
A powerful, skeletal, undead creature who casts spells to defend itself. In life, a lich was a powerful spellcaster. When it becomes a lich it is now an unholy creature whos power in casting spells is amplified into a veritable killing machine, via its majicks.
The lich only pointed at his enemy. A beam of dark energy exploded out of his finger and hit the fighter in the chest. He died on the spot.

In death, wizards of great power are sometimes able to turn themselves into liches. A lich is a skeletal, undead creature, whose magical powers can only be matched by its malevolence. The process of becoming a lich is very painful, but those who are powerful enough to become liches willingly undergo it: Liches are totally immune to any sort of mental attack, poisons, diseases and suchlike. They can also channel magical energy much easier than humans or any of the normal races, making them deadly adversaries. Liches are often seen leading great masses of lesser, undead warriors.
