Kpoppies - what is it?
A Kpoppie is a term used in the K-Pop community to describe a K-Pop fan who’s only been listening to the genre for a couple of months, but already acts like they know everything about it, even though it’s painfully clear that they do not.
Kpoppies tend to be BTS and/or BLACKPINK stans as these are the two groups representing K-Pop to the West and are the most popular K-Pop groups by far. They treat these two groups as God’s gift to humanity and trash pretty much any other group/artists that came before and after them, even if said groups/artists are K-Pop veterans, e.g. SHINee and Girls’ Generation.
Kpoppies are irritating and condescending, as they believe they are a know-it-all when it comes to K-Pop (which, as I’ve already established, is FAR from the truth). They are usually found on K-Pop Stan Twitter.
A: “I’m so proud of BTS for being the first K-Pop act ever to break into America!”
B: “Ugh, I know right? They really paved the way.”
C: “So who’s gonna tell these kpoppies that Wonder Girls, 2NE1 and Girls’ Generation got in there first?”
What does "kpoppies" mean?
Mostly used by Armys (BTS stans) to define all the other K-pop fandoms that are not the BTS fandom. They want to separate themselves from the K-pop community bc they think they're on a higher level although they're K-pop fans too.
Often used when they think the "whole" K-pop community is against them or when some Armys did something wrong, but still want to defend them from other fandoms to keep their reputation.
"Those kpoppies are trying to bring us down again bc they can't accept that their faves aren't getting the same recognition as our faves LMFAO"

Kpoppies - what does it mean?
A kpop fan who credits mainly 2nd generation groups and not 3rd generations groups. They overlook and belittle the achievements that new groups have brought to the genre in modern times but highly praise groups from the past.
Kpop fan: congratulations to (insert group name)for this achievement! They deserve it!

Kpoppies - meaning
“Kpoppies” or “Kpoppie” was created by the BTS fandom known as A.R.M.Y in 2018 to separate themselves form the Kpop community. Over the years it was adopted by other Kpop fandoms.

A bunch of people who just exist to hate on others. Cannot take facts and spread lies so they can damage other people’s reputations. Cannot take a different opinion other than theirs and most likely would reply with a fancam during civilized debates. Will do anything in their power to defame, play down and hate on the most popular boy group in the world, BTS. Picks fights regularly with ARMY, the incredibly dedicated fandom of BTS. Talk shit about BTS and ARMY but when called out they bring out the victim card.
