Hawthorne Heights' guitar, bass, and drum playing are so simple that I was able to learn all three of the parts to Ohio is for Lovers after listening to the song three times, and I'm not even that great of a guitar bass or drum player. Plus, their singing and screaming sounds exactly like the fifty thousand other bands that they are similar (or should I say, identical) to.

-They admit they don't spent too much time on their lyrics anymore, because they want to focus on their friendships within the band
-They are fun to listen to, and even more fun live. I can tell you because I've seen them twice.
-They are now an MTV band, which sucks for all of those who loved them before they were cool to love.
-They don't 'suck' (look it up), because suck is drawing something by force. If you mean to say they are "inadequate," that means they are not capable, which they are.

Hawthorne Heights is a band from Ohio whose genre is questionable. I am in no way an emo or a goth or any of those types of people but I love this band. To all those pricks who hate on this band because they associate them with gays or pussies, go to HELL. I (and many others) listen to this band because of good lyrics and kick ass guitarists. Fucking losers who think they are better than everyone who listens to this band need to just shut up and let the people who listen to them enjoy them and let the people who don't be. Don't make someone feel bad to make yourself feel better. That makes you a jerkoff. Besides I don't come to your job and knock the broom out of your hand so don't tell me that you hate the band. To be quite honest, I'm not sure why there are so many definitions for this band on this website. They are an amazing band, and if people really hated them that much they wouldn't be so obsessed with writing definitions about them. They are an emo/screamo band from Ohio, USA, and have released two albumns so far, The Silence In Black and White and If Only You Were Lonely. Both albumns are well written and good quality music, although some of the songs in IOYWL sound quite similar; therefore making TSIBAW my favourite albumn. Recently their backing vocalist, Casey Calvert (the guy who did the screams), died of what is thought to be an accidental drugs overdose. Hawthorne Heights are going through a patchy time at the moment but assure us they are going to continue to make their amazing music.

A band that was a good band. Had some nice guitar riffs, some memorable lyrics, they had a talented guitarist/screamer(Casey Calvert).
unfortunately Casey Calvert died. After not showing up to a sound check with the rest of the band, he was found dead.
He was a good man and never did any drugs and was a vegetarian. It might be possible he died of an asthma attack, as he did use an inhaler.
All I know is you shouldn't call people emo fags for being sad about this. I mean thee is a difference in crying all the time about nothing and being sad that someone who affected your dies.
