Basically when you're having a bad day and the work that you do is the opposite of fantastic this particular word can be used. This is a fun play-on-words.

The opposite of fantastic. Everything is completely disastrous and more things keep going wrong.
Absolutely everything goes wrong and then another bad thing happens is utterly fuctastic.
In a sarcastic sense could say fucking fantastic.
