What is broke the bank?
Having taken a healthy, large, and incredibly satisfying dump. Sometimes shortened to simply, "broke the bank".
(1) Walking out of the men's room, I say to my friend, "Dude, I just broke the bank in monte carlo."
(2) I'll see you later, I gotta go break the bank.

Figuratively making a shit ton of money that upon withdrawing it, it would literally shut the bank down.
Alternatively, making so much money that a bank cannot possibly hold that amount of real paper bills upon deposit.
Dayum, you seen that new Avenger's trailer? That movie is gonna break the bank.

What does "broke the bank" mean?
When you/someone/something spends more money than it can afford.
"I finally broke the bank and bought a new car."
