Definder - what does the word mean?

What is brazen bull?

Execution by barbeque.

People had a lot of fun with the brazen bull, beheadings were getting lame and if you blinked, you missed it, you just saw a body with no head attached to it.

Brazen bull - what is it?

The brazen bull was like a barbeque grill, except for human brisket.

The brazen bull was always a crowd pleaser, people thought it was more fun than a family reunion or even a wedding.

What does "brazen bull" mean?

Only the most effective and persuasive execution devices ever, of course fashioned and used by the Greeks.

It was a big metal construct in the shape of a bull that a human would be put inside of. Then a fire would be started underneath the bull construct, boiling alive the human inside with excruciating pain (usually releasing quiet visceral screams during it).

These magnificent torture devices struck the fear of god in the hearts of all, effectively dissuading crime.

Marvellous

Person 1: β€œI’m planning to overthrow the ruler and i need help, you in?
Person 2: β€œhell no man, I’m not taking any chances with one of them brazen bull thingies”

Brazen bull - what does it mean?

A particularly nasty torture/execution device.

A hollow bull is cast entirely out of brass with a door on the side. After the condemed was placed inside, the door was closed and a fire was set underneath the bull. This caused the bottom of the bull to become "red-hot" and thus burning/roasting the victim.

The head of the ox was designed with a complex system of tubes and stops so that the prisoner's screams were converted into sounds like the bellowing of an infuriated bull.

Combine the horrors of claustraphobia, suffocation, and burning at the stake, and you have the brazen bull. This is some fucked up shit.
