To ruin something for someone else, or to use something up.

Boggart - what does it mean?
It's originally a character in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" which changes it's appearance to whatever it's current viewer finds most unpleasant.
It's also a term for a person who pretends to be someone other than their own to be more intimidating to others.
