A pretend pop-psychology term that everyone thinks they are special and identifies as because no one is truly or even mostly introverted or extroverted.
Person 1: "I like hanging out with people a lot but sometimes I crave to be alone, so I must be an ambivert!"

An ambivert is someone who falls in the middle of the introvert/extrovert continuum. Ambiverts have a blend of traits from both introverts and extroverts, as well as their own unique strengths. Depending on the situation, this might place extra strain on the ambivert. Keeping the balance may be a good quality to have, but it can also be tiring.
May also be easily confused with bipolar disorder. "Is he bipolar or an ambivert?"

Ambiverts are quite addaptable, flexible, and tend to be camilions. Everyone has ambivert tendancies, because it isn't possible to be a complete extrovert or intovert, so their introverted or extroverted qualities make people have ambivert tendencies as well.
