An "NHL" team of golfers that haven't won a Stanley cup in 9476 years. They somehow still have a bigger fanbase than every other team. Commonly criticised by fans or other teams. Still continue to make a ton of money. Their main source of money is charging you $1000 a ticket to watch them lose.

What does "Toronto Maple Leafs" mean?
A great hockey team in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Winners of the second most Stanley Cups. To sum it up, they are a great team with loads of potential who has a major chance of winning the Stanley Cup when ever the NHL comes back.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have lots of fans despite the fact that the leafs havent won the cup since like 1967 or something and probably won't win the cup again until around 2067 because when it all comes down to --Skills-- they aint got em. Theyre players are to old they get bodychecked once and collapse or they are small pansies and get thrown around like a --PersonalRagdolls-- to Zdeno Chara or anyone from the sens
The Toronto Maple Leafs don't have many skills and when they start to lose they attack the opposing teams bench or sucker punch someone because they're jealous that person can score.
Toronto Maple Leafs - meaning
The most overrated team in NHL history. Also proudly owns the nhl's worst logo and worst name. To their credit, they used to be good. A long long time ago in 1967, I believe, they managed to win their 13th and final cup. Now, they can't even make it to the cup finals. Will miss the playoffs this season thanks to lousy coaching, too much reliance on power play and of course just plain bad, underachieving players. The Leafs also happen to have the most terrible fans in the nhl. Somehow, those clowns still think the Leafs will make the playoffs even though they're almost totally eliminated. They also believe they'll win the cup... But no worries. Soon, Leafs fans will be able to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their last Stanley Cup. If you live in Toronto, do yourself a favor and root for any other team. The Ottawa Senators are a good pick. Or the Montreal Canadiens who actually have won a Stanley Cup during current fans' lifetimes.
If the Toronto Maple Leafs had won a few games against the Ottawa Senators this season, they'd be contenders for the playoffs. But what can I say? The Sens are a far superior team.

A pathetic hockey team from Toronto that completely sucks. Leaf fans like to think their franchise is comparable to the Chicago Cubs because they are popular losers but the fact of the matter is the Maple Leaf Gardens are gone so the team doesn't even have that mystical tradition on their side anymore. Now the Maple Leafs are just like any other team that play in a modern corporate arena.
Toronto is a really crappy sports town. The only people that like any of your crappy teams are Canadians that hate Americans and want to stick it to them by pulling for Toronto teams. Torontonians think all of Canada looks up to them but I have been to places like New York and Chicago and I live close to Boston so Toronto doesn't do it for me.
The Maple Leafs are crap. The Air Canada Center is for the oily corporate douche bags of Toronto that think they are big time Wall Street rollers. If they want to blow their money on BMW's and Toronto Maple Leaf tickets, that is fine by me.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have incredibility bland sweaters. They should wear the ones from the 1960's then at least they could suck with a bit of style.

A team whose fan base has all the arrogance of the New York Yankees nation, loving a team that is quickly becoming a band of loveable losers (like the Chicago Cubs...). 1967 is a quickly fading memory. A fanbase that evidently has a high threshold for chronic mediocrity, given that they havent made the playoffs the past two seasons. All this from a city which has about as much soul as Des Moines. In Leafs fans minds...they would say they have a World Class hockey team. Most clear headed people know better.
