What is The Hamptons?
An overrated, middle-class community on the eastern tip of Long Island, full of shuttered xenophobes who dislike anyone who's not "local" and have a particular disdain for City residents who vacation there in the summer. They think that dealing with "cidiots" each summer is bad? Try dealing with troublemaking Long Island trash every WEEKEND. At least New Jersey and Westchester kids are reasonably well-behaved.
If someone is acting up in the bar or club I'm in, there's an 85% chance that he's from the suburbs.
If he's from the suburbs, there's a 60% chance that he's from Long Island.
If he's from Long Island, there's a 100% chance that he's a lidiot.

The Hamptons - what is it?
The Hamptons are where almost every rich person from the Tri-State spends their summers if they're not in Europe, Cancun or some other far-off destination. It is comprised of multiple villages with the main town being Southampton. Just across the sound from Connecticut and not too different from some of the beach towns in Massachusetts. Obscenely rich people driving around in restored Defenders and Land Cruisers, overpriced cute boutiques, and opulent waterfront homes are everywhere. Many celebrities own houses in the Hamptons and it's not uncommon for homes to sell for upwards of ten million, or even twenty million dollars. While some may say it's snobby out there, the Hamptons look like a nice place to spend your summer in (if you have the paper to)

What does "The Hamptons" mean?
The towns of Southampton, NY and East Hampton, NY on the South Fork of Long Island.
Although most think of it as a very rich place, the people who live here year round are middle class.
North Sea, Sagaponack, Westhampton, Hampton Bays, and Bridgehampton, as well as Southampton village, are in the Town of Southampton
Sag Harbor, Northwest Harbor, Napeague, Montauk, Springs, Wainscott, and Amagansett, as well as East Hampton village, are in the Town of Easthampton.
The Hamptons are easily accessed by Montauk Highway (NY 27) as well as the Montauk Branch of the Long Island Railroad, making service between Jamaica, Queens and the villages of Westhampton, Hampton Bays, Southampton, Bridgehampton, Easthampton, Amagansett, and Montauk.
Known for its amazing Atlantic beaches, laden with mansions owned by celebrities.

Well..back in 2002-2003 there was an R&B group called the The Hamptons and they had a hit song called "My Jacket" and it was there only video and song because they wanted to finish high school then finish there music....I FELL IN LOVE WIT LIL CHRIS....and there names are Lil Chris, Mario, Contrell.

The Hamptons - definition
The Hamptons is made up of SOUTHAMPTON, SAG HARBOR, BRIDGEHAMPTON, WATERMILL, EASTHAMPTON, SPRINGS AND SAGAPONACK. That is ALL.
Year round it's mostly made up of middle class families just trying to get by. In the summer, cidiots (city idiots) or tourons (tourist morons) come out and cause extreme traffic and be generally stupid. In the winter, the Hamptons are pretty quiet (although Bridgehampton and Easthampton get very ghetto).
Cidiot: Oh my Gawd, i'm going to ride my new pony, Sir Edgar LeJonesy, in the Hamptons this weekend.
Local: There is absolutely NOTHING to do here...

The Hamptons is a place where rich people go on vacation and spend most of their summers. It is made up of a few different places but only East Hampton, WaterMill, Bridge Hampton, and South Hampton really matter. The people who actually live in the Hamptons do not necessarily have that much money like the ones that vacation there. In the summer the Hamptons start to get bombarded by celebrities and vineyard-vines wearing people.

An awesome place to live and grow up as a local. We are not all rich.... most of us locals are middle class people just like everyone else.
We don't appreciate celebrities and cidiots ruining our summers by jamming up Sunrise with their ridiculously over-priced pieces of plastic they call cars. We also don't like serving pieces of shit from Manhattan that think they're better than us because they are in OUR hometown for the summer.
Person #1: "You're from the Hamptons??? You must be RICH!!!"
Local: "Actually I work my ass off to afford the things I have just like everyone else."

Its boring in the winter, but in the summer it gets over run by cidiots. Its a beautiful place to live, and not everyone is rich. Most people living in the hamptons are middle class.
