What is Severna Park?Everyone that is hating on Severna Park is stupid. The Place has great schools, both public and private. The area in general is wealthy and well taken care of. They have great sports leagues that start when they are young. I wish I would have been fortunate enough to have not moved as much as I have, but when my dad was in the military we had to move. Now I am kinda stuck going to shit hole Meade High School. There are so few true preps u can count them on ur hands and toes and still have some of each left over. Also I am the only kid at the school that does pop their collar which puts Meade's Popped to UnPopped Ratio at 1599:1. My collar popped and their panties dropped Severna Park - videoSeverna Park - what is it?Wow you all are the gayest people i've ever met. Half of you have never even been to Severna Park, so fuck you all. Yes our parents have money, WHO THE FUCK CARES?! Suck it fucking white trash kids. What does "Severna Park" mean? There are stuck-up assholes and bitches, althetic people, smart kids, etc. I live here and have never actually seen a "popped-collar". Not everyone plays lacrosse, nor does everyone call it lax. There are working moms and stay at home dads. Our educational system isn't half-bad, and we get decent scores on tests, though we also have slackers and idiots. Common stereotypes fit very few people, but the people who stand out the most are the stereotypical parkies. They happen to be the loudest, the proudest, and, based on observation, not the smartest. One Severna Park Student: "OH my god, all Alex ever talks about is lax, but it's okay because he's SO HOT." Severna Park - what does it mean?boring but hey, its better than france. sp revolves around chillers and lacross Severna Park - meaningSeverna Park is an exciting town loacated about 15 minutes from Baltimore, and 10 minutes from Annapolis. When in Severna Park, one can find a lot to do. For example, Severna Park has several beaches, a pool hall, a bowling ally, many country clubs and a putt-putt golf course, the Severn River and the Magothy River, cofee shops, religious groups, tennis courts everywhere, and much, much more. Something else to do that's popular in SPark is to go to Bill Batemans on Monday night which is wing night. You will see basically the whole high school there! Also, in the summer you can easily go out on your boat or jet ski, do some wake-boarding, go to Dobbyns island and chill, and eat lots of crabs and crab-dip, crab-cakes, etc. Crabs are SP's thing. SP is famous for it's amazing lacrosse, feild hockey, soccer, and more recently the basketball. SPark Highschool is also the #1 high school in the county, academically. Severna Park is also home to the #1 Community College in the nation, Anne Arundel Community College. Which was ranked number one by the government, and George Bush recently visited this college. Overall, SP is a great place to go if you want to have something to do, or if you want to go to the best high school in the area. Some common misconceptions are that SPARKIES are stuck up and rich. Well, everywhere that you go where there's some money, you will meet some rich snobs. SP has some, as does everywhere. But there are a lot of nice people in SP and to generalize them all as rich snobs is a huge mistake. Yes, daddy pays for a lot of kids stuff, but theres also a lot of kids who pay for their own stuff. Don't judge but what people have, get to know them. Severna Park - definitionA poor man's Laguna Beach. It's a pretty nice place to live; a nice family town on a really nice river. It's an all-white, preppy, conservative haven. Michael Jordan almost moved there. Pat Sajak does. The Bawltimer Ravens owner lives here and graduated from SPHS. That brings up the worst thing about SP - It's a suburb of Bawltimer. Hott pretty blonde girl from SP - "Like, I totally live in the kitschyest place in the world" Severna Park - slangA great place to be, but actually NOT the home of the greatest community college in the nation. Anne Arundel Community College has 3 locations that I'm aware of, one in Arnold, one in Glen Burnie, and one in Hanover next to the Arundel Mills mall.... Man some people are really stupid to confuse Severna Park with Arnold. An SP resident would want to take credit for AACC... until they actually have to attend. Severna Parki live in sp, i dont see anything particularly great about it, but its nothing to look down on. its an ok place, pretty much your average upper-midddle class folks. as far as the high school goes, i havent seen a single person pop their collar. nobody does that. its douchy. oh, and if you live in severna park and have never lived anywhere else, dont badmouth it. we have it nice, so enjoy it while it lasts. oh, and im like the only minority that lives here exept for like, i dont know, all the others. yes, theres alot of white people, but we do exist here. kids with parents who are famous/own a buisness= severn Severna ParkSmall suburban town on the Severn River. South of Baltimore and a tad north of Maryland's capital Annapolis. It began as a just a trainstation stop on the Baltimore-Annapolis Railroad. Originally just a farm or two, the town really began in 1914 when Severn school was founded as a preparatory school for the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis. Much has changed since then. Severn School has become a private college preparatory school whose main attraction to many is simply the ability to tell people that they or his/her son/daughter attends/attended it. Though, of course, it is not all bad- the large majourity of the people are nice. But those who are not more than make up for the rest. The school is the reason for the stereotype that Severna Park is a snobbish town- many of its students are in fact commuters. Just down the street is the Severna Park High School- a more accurate sample of the average Parkie. Well pop my collar- looks like I'm spendin' the day in Severna Park! Severna ParkI was raised in Severna Park. Sadly, we do believe we are rich. However, once you grow up and see a little more of the world you realize we are pseudo-snobs. The houses in Potomac and Bethesda are about 3x the size and 10x the price. Their kids go to Georgetown prep and are related to the power elite. Severna Park is a glorified upper-middle class town that really, really wants to be something its not. Severna Park, maybe one day you will be Bethesda. |
