Definder - what does the word mean?

What is SCOUSERS?

An inhabitant of a city fueled by insecurity, weakness and self pity. A city that has received millions in European funding over the years and is still in the top 5 deprived areas of Europe and a low academic record to match. In the main because of the lack of drive, ambition and a propensity to blame everyone else for their failiure. The scouser has a great deal of hatred from Mancunians for building the ship canal, which defined the demise of Liverpool port trade. Where most economies moved on, Liverpool cornered the market in whinging thus creating a culture of state dependency. A common question is why so many people hate Liverpool, because the Scouser hates himself.

What does "SCOUSERS" mean?

Person from Liverpool. Scousers are generally welcoming, fun loving, hardworking and a talented breed of people. Over the years there has been a wealth of talent come out of Liverpool and that flame still burns bright today. Let me also mention that Liverpool will now be the Capital of Culture 2008, and with the funding from Europe, it can only make Liverpool even better. As for the people who like to use old boring stereotypes made popular in the 1980's, I really would like you to come and see for yourself. Either that or check the crime and unemployment stats, Liverpool has higher EMPLOYMENT rates and LOWER crime rates than the likes of Manchester and areas of London.

"Today I met a Scouser, it changed my mind about the stupid stereotyping by idiot comedians such as Bernard Manning"

SCOUSERS - what does it mean?

People from Liverpool who aren't that different from anyone else, except we don't slag off other cities as much as everyone else slags us off.

The myth of scousers as criminals is usually reinforced by right wing toffs and the gutter press, who've never visited Liverpool - probably because we don't tolerate third-hand bigoted remarks from people who can afford a 'good education'.

Merseyside, with Liverpool at its centre, is one of the safest metropolitan areas in the UK according to Home Office statistics. A decline in the number of crimes reported per 100,000 of the population, has made Merseyside the third safest metropolitan area behind Northumbria and South Yorkshire - burglary rates are at their lowest levels for more than twenty years. Which probably explains why Ive heard so many students saying they feel safer in Liverpool than they do back home.

Don't believe the crap written about us.

SCOUSERS - meaning

Person from Liverpool.

The nice ones are really nice, ie very friendly & chatty, like to take the mickey out of all and sundry and as honest and trustworthy as the day is long.

Bad ones are quite possible the most irritating people ever met, with large chips on their shoulder who whinge a lot and can't be trusted as far as they can be thrown.

Visitors from other countries (and also from the UK) can generally not always understand scousers with strong accents.

eg.
Good - Ken Dodd (except for the whole tax evasion thing)

Bad - Wayne Rooney (despite the obvious talent on the field)

SCOUSERS - definition

Inhabitiant of liverpool, often downplayed by rival cities due to false stereotypes from godawefull 80's TV shows such as "Bread", "Boys from the black stuff" and "Brookside" depicting them to be thieves and killers, and enforced by the peasant underclass of youths known as "scallys" or "chavs" who are generally annoying cunts. while these can be found anywhere in the United Kingdom, some people live under the delsuion that they dont exist around them, and they are only found in liverpool.

Scousers are usually easy going, up for a laugh, and welcoming to outsiders, and usually posess a strong wit similar to that of the Irish, and Geordies, also loves a good party!

"we do dat doe dont we doe?"

"calm down!"

SCOUSERS - slang

n. a person from Liverpool, England, or Liverpudlian, or Merseysider (the River Mersey; Merseyside County). Scouse is a term for the distinctive local accent or dialect. Derived from "lobscouse," a traditional sailors' stew usually made with lamb and hard tack (very hard, baked bread/cracker).

A scouser himself, Steven Gerrard is perhaps the most beloved of the current players on the Liverpool squad.

SCOUSERS

A Scouser is an individual from Liverpool. Scousers are notoriously maligned and stereotyped by everyone else in the UK. This is because they are jealous. Our immigrant population ensures that there is an excellent gene-pool, thus avoiding the horrific inbreeding seen in the majority of incest-rife no-mark cities of the UK. Scousers hate the English - because we are not English we are Scouse. As a scouser I can trace my lineage back to the Kings of Ireland. Mancs (for example) can only trace their lineage back 20 years to when their dads arse-raped a sheep, hence the wool on their greasy backs.
Scousers, unlike the rest of the UK do not stick their arses up in the air for the government or any other establishment mefs we stand and fight our corner. This emasculates the general population of UK into realising they are fortune's bitches because they would sooner take it up the wrong-un than stand and fight. Jealous? I think so.

Scousers:
'it's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees'

BASINGSTOKE:
'Oh, I say Marjorie, I think David Cameron would make an excellent Prime Minister'
