Panic! At the Disco - what is it?

Panic at the Disco (formerly Panic! at the Disco) is a rock band from Las Vegas. Due to unfortunate circumstances, 80% of their fanbase is synonymous with screaming fangirls who only know their hit single, "I Write Sins Not Tragedies."
The other 20% are cool, intelligent people who appreciate good music and want MTV to die, and don't listen to the radio either. They know all of Panic's songs (from both their amazing yet extremely different albums, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out and Pretty. Odd.) and know all the lyrics as well as their meaning. They don't listen to Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance unless their genuinely like them, which would be because of their (good) older material.
Panic at the Disco blend techno and rock with theatrical touches in their first album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. Contrary to popular belief, this was something that had never been done before. At the September 2005 release of this album, it did not get much attention from the media or really any commercial recognition at all. In early 2006, the video for their second single, I Write Sins Not Tragedies, was played on MTV's Total Requests.
Is this enough proof that this band was NOT originally meant to be "liked" by ignorant "fans" who like one song?
In March 2008 they released their Beatles-esque second album, Pretty. Odd. This experimental and risky album did lose some of the original fans, but true fans ignored the fact that it was very different from the first album and gave it a chance.
Overall, PATD are an extremely original band whose less popular songs (NOT I WRITE SINS NOT TRAGEDIES) need to be considered.

Common "fan": OMG I love Panic at the Disco!
Real fan: Really? What's your favorite song by them?
Common "fan": Well... everyone knows THAT... I Write Sins Not Tragedies!
Real fan: And do you know anything ELSE?
Common "fan": No. No one does. Do they even have other songs?
Real fan: *shoots*

What does "Panic! At the Disco" mean?

The best band ever. They sing emo/pop punk. If you say that they suck someone in your life probably likes them and you will be dead in .000002 seconds.

Abbi: (humming the lyrics to Time To Dance)

Abbi:Who else would it be?

Panic! At the Disco - what does it mean?

To be adored by teenage girls and Myspace fanatics alike but still churn out completely unlistenable, bothersome songs.

Panic! At the Disco are slightly annoying, aren't they?
Not if you're 13 with braces and aren't addicted to Myspace.

Panic! At the Disco - meaning

A band that tries way too hard to be emo (even more than From First to Last), and just turn out looking and sounding retarded in every way imaginable, with their corny-as-hell lyrics and very strange image.

Most of their fans are teenage girls who listen to Fall Out Boy just because they think Pete Wentz is hot, or suddenly got into Panic as well because the idea of teenage guys playing in a band (even though they're POP - just as much pop as Hillary Duff as a matter of fact) is irresistible.

Even so, some of their songs ARE quite catchy and can sound good, But.. if you really want to save yourself some embarrassment (and maybe even some of your brain..), then lay off this band.

Typical Panic! At the Disco fan: I LOVE PANIC AT THE DISCO!! BRENDON URIE IS SOOO HAWT!!1!

Person: Ok.. and is that the only reason you like the band?

Typical P!atD fan: NOO! They're soo EMO!! That's why I'm SOOOO EMO right now and wear black and cut myself every day!!!!

Person: Yea... I'm sure the band members do that too.. they just try way too hard to be emo ya know?

Typical P!atD fan: OH YES! They're definitely emo!! I'm such a punk rocker!1!

Person: .. Nevermind. *walks away*

Panic! At the Disco - definition

Highly overrated band who write songs with absolutely no melodies, just some "witty" lyrics. Blah blah blah we know all you original fans are mad the mainstream picked them up, but it was only a matter of time before corporate America got its hand on crap music.

Heard this song, "I Sing Tragedies..." or whatever the crap it's called?
Yeah, Panic! At the Disco, huh? Annoying as hell, isn't it?

Panic! At the Disco

Probably one of the most god awful bands ever created. A very emo/shitty sounding band that only 14-year-old MySpacey girls listen to. Right on up there with Fall Out Boy, Hawthorne Heights, and The Used.

I'm gonna get a shirt with my name in Panic! At the Disco!

i.e. Lauren! At the Disco

Panic! At the Disco

Their old songs are combinations of the Killers, The Postal Service, Death Cab, classical music, and pop-punk. Weird combination, but it worked. After every single member left, Brendon Urie is now the only member, so he experimented with electronica to mixed success.

Panic! At the Disco was one of the most original bands of the mid 2000s. Now they aren't the worst band around but if i had to listen to one modern day alt-rock song, it would probably be by the Black Keys

Panic! At the Disco

Formed in Las Vegas, Nevada by members Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, Brendon Urie, and Brent Wilson, P!atd is commonly refered to as a "pop-punk" and/or " punk-rock" band. Brent Wilson, former basist, who was in the band for a very short time, left and was replaced by Jon Walker. Later in 2009, Ryan Ross (guitarist) and Jon Walker (basist) left due to creative differences and formed The Young Veins. Two albums were made with Ross and Walker; A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, and Pretty. Odd. The two albums are widely different from each other. After Ross and Walker left, vocalist Brendon Urie, and drummer Spencer Smith, created the album Vices and Virtues. Many people stereotype them to be "listened to by 13 year olds who don't know what real music is, and"emo kids." Recently, Panic!'s song "Ready To Go" has been feautured in TV commercials, causing the band to become more mainstream. Although you don't have to listen to them since the beginning when they were originally formed, it would help if you know other songs then just the ones that play on the radio and TV.

Person 1: I just started listening to Panic! At The Disco last week, and I think they're really good! Camisado is my favorite song.

Person 2: Yeah I know! I love the album Pretty. Odd.

"Poser" Person 3: Yeah! I don't know the album names but I LOVE I Write Sins, Not Tragedies, and Ready To Go. They play on the radio all the time!
