Definder - what does the word mean?

What is Panic! At The Disco?

Okay, well first of all, don't be hating!! Panic! At The Disco is not "gay" or "overrated" Yes, I do agree that they attracted a new croud, which I hate, but they still rock. They are the only people to combine techno and pop. Also, all of their lyrics come from a book, their favorite book, and that's why they are all nonsense. But, who cares! They are a kick ass band. Listen.

Prep: OMG! I LOVE PANIC! AT THE DISCO!!
Not Prep: Can you name three of their songs..?
Prep: Um..chyeahh..I write Sins Not Tradgedies, But It's Better if you do, and...um..
Not Prep: Yeah, I didn't think so..

Panic! At The Disco - what is it?

Fucking pussy-ass scenester band. Uses extremely long, oxymoronic song titles to make emo faggots feel better about listening to them. All of their fans can burn in the 9th fucking circle of Hell.

What does "Panic! At The Disco" mean?

A really good band that has a lot of talent. The lead singer, Brendon Urie is amazing. Not only does he sing, but he plays rhythm guitar, piano, organ, accordion, Techno keyboard, and is also a talented actor. Poor Brendon has a hard time singing live, though. Watch the videos on MTV.com to see what I mean.
Unlike most bands, they don't have a specific style. I'm very surprised that some people call them emo because their only song that can actually be classified as emo is "Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off". They were also influenced by blink-182 which is falsely labeled emo by many people. Instead, they cover almost every style of rock and made their own style by combining pop-punk and techno.
They are sadly given a bad name by poser fans, teenyboppers, and dumbasses who put "! At the Disco" on their MySpace account. I actually once saw "Bowling! At the Disco-182" WTF?

Bowling! At the Disco-182: Panic! At The Disco FUCKEN ROX!!! THERE LIKE MY FAVRIT BAND!!!:D
Me: Yeah, but you're ruining their image by putting ! "At the Disco" in your name. You're also ruining Bowling for Soup and blink-182.
B!ATD182: YER JUST JEALOUS BECAUSE YOU LISTENTO SHIT LIKE BAD RELIGION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: I listen to everything, dumbass. that includes Panic! and Bad Religion.

Panic! At The Disco - definition

A band hailing from Las Vegas, that sounds like a dancey-poppier version of Fall Out Boy, only 10 x more repetative. Discovered by Pete Wentz OF Fall Out Boy.

After the hatred between Pete Wentz and Brandon Flowers (the Killers), Panic! released the song "London Beckoned Songs About Money Written By Machines" with the lyrics:

"Stop stalling, make a name for yourself.
Boy you better put your pen to paper, charm your way out.
If you talk you better walk you better back your shit up,
with more than good hooks while you're all under the gun.
Start talking "a sensationalist",
Only slightly clever to just a certain extent.
If you talk, you better walk, you better keep your mouth shut
With more than good hooks while you're all under the gun."

Taking a stab at Brandon for being unoriginal, after the release of the Killers' song "Under The Gun", which was released only in the United Kingdom.

Which is incredibly ironic, because had it not been for Pete Wentz, the Panic! would be nowhere. And considering the fact that they're basically a creation from Pete's own pen, the pure hypocrisy of this statement is nauseating.

All of the old Panic! At The Disco fans believe that they're better than the new ones for discovering them "first".

All of the new Panic! fans are dillusional, and believe they've been fans from the beginning.

Everyone forces themselves to like them because of the catchy name and because of the fact that they most likely adore Fall Out Boy.

Panic! At The Disco - slang

Completely over-rated. They were old almost a year ago. But all the scenesters don't really care. It went from the real fans to the Abercrombie & Fitch crowd. And somewhere inbetween, lost it's value.

1.
Scene girl: "I LOVE Panic!"
Me: "Name two songs that haven't been released as singles."
Scene girl: "Uhhh..."
Me: "Thought so."

2.
People from TV: "This new band, Panic! At The Disco... blah blah blah."
Me: "They aren't new to us real fans. Of course, though, they're new to you kids who never listen to anything BUT the singles."

3.
*Quote from Myspace*
Scene kid: "Sarah! At The Disco"
Me: Don't be so fucking stupid.

Panic! At The Disco

An awesome band hailing from Las Vegas who get a lot of crap for their quick rise to fame and for having fans who haven't followed them since they started out.

People, get a life. Just because people haven't been fans since they played for food or whatever doesn't mean they're poseurs. Since when did bands start out not to get popular? What idiot says 'Hey, let's start a band and make sure we never get signed and earn money for doing what we love?'

Evil Anti Poseur - Oh My god! You only got into Panic! At The Disco recently. You're so poseur. Go listen to something else!

Panic! At The Disco

One of the best bands ever to exist. They have their own sound and style.
